Wow. Come back to the boards for the first time in over a year and instantyl have to defend myself. A. I am not an expert. I work for one. B. On a daily we see people, many of whom are overweight, with knee pain. Some have a healthier weight. He always asks the patient what they do for exercise and many times we hear…

If you don't buy it and bring it home, you can't eat it. And take it easy on yourself.

I work for an orthopedic surgeon and every day he tells people that walking is good for the heart but bad for the knees. While it provides a cardio burn, it does nothing for strengthening your legs. You'd be better off on a bike or an elliptical.

Stir fry it with some thin cut chicken.

Does a stationary bike count? I ride that during the week and try to hit the road with my road bike on the weekends, weather permitting. Doing 72 miles over two days I less than a month the the MS Ride.

Today is in the books, tomorrow is another day.

Always when cycling. Extra fabric under bike shorts can cause all kinds of chaffing and moisture issues.

Thank you!

Just looked over the website which says if you use it for something other than water to make sure you clean it thoroughly. I actually couldn't see any warranty info on the reservoir itself, just the valves and locks. L

The advice is good if your goal is to lose that last 10 pounds, but if you want to maintain it , that may be another story. If you hit that 10 pound mark and bring back the sodium, the processed food, the glass of wine and slack on the workouts won't the 10 pounds come back? L

Not sure what the concern about bacteria is. I don't store drinks in the bladder and I do clean it out thoroughly and promptly when I get home. Since I can be a bit of a klutz, I like having the tube available to sip on rather than reaching down for the bottle. Have been putting mixes in my water since I got it over 6…

Well one, what are you doing? Jillian is intense. I use 30 day shred on my off days from cycling. I do like that its 20 minutes and intervals of weights and cardio. I have been using workout #2, almost scared to jump to #3, but I probably should. I also have her kickboxing DVD for when I want something just a little…

It's killing me not to ride this morning, but the forces are against me. It's 47 out (my cutoff is 50) and more importantly (because that is a wimpy reason) I am under doctor's orders not to until Friday (though I may cheat and ride tomorrow.) Who knew teeth extraction could be such a medical inconvenience?

Having gone through a divorce and few other of life's dramas, I find my bike my best therapy! Fortunately, I live in North Florida so snow won't be an issue, but we do get cooler temps, especially in the morning when I tend to ride. I did get some cool weather bike gear so that should keep me going a little be longer and…

Popcorn, no butter for dinner LOL

my ring and band are saudered together and are very loose if I wash my hands, put on lotion, or get sweaty. Can't afford the sizing right now, so for now when I work out and shower, I leave my rings behind. Better safe than sorry.

I notice that my weight is more reflective what I did 2 days prior, not the day before. We were just talking about this in the gym today and that seemed to be a common trend among us gals.

sounds interesting!

I have 5 every week, at least! The ones I get are "naked" (unbreaded). And for the record... there isn't anything you "can't" have. The key word is moderation. PS... I have my 5 wings with a side salad (blue cheese on the side), split fried pickles with my son, and a beer.

Awesome!

Poor you  Good work!

I contribute a good part of my weight loss to cutting out not all, but a lot, of processed prepared foods. If I can figure out a way to make something myself and control the ingredients, I do. My favorite is to catch cans of tomatoes on buy one get one free at the grocery store and stock up. Always have some on hand for…

Did you know you can sub flax seed mill for eggs?? 1 Tbsp meal + 4 Tbsp water for each egg. I tried it with my last batch of oatmeal cookies and couldn't tell the difference!

I have a friend who homeschools through a Christian program and she didn't have to do such a thing.
