Sounds awesome! I love zucchini bread, so these must be good. Wanted to try Rocco's black bean brownies, too. What's the nutritional break down?

Don't drive yourself batty. Pick the same scale, first number and be done with it. I was going berserk a few weeks ago because my scale was weighing me about 2-3 pounds heavier than the 2 at my son's Jiu Jitsu school that the Professor said "weighed heavy" I hopped on the scale at Publix (why do they put a scale in grocery…

Can't tell ya. I'm there myself but I "failed" with some pretzel chips and my DH brought me home a frosty. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Drizzle a little honey on top... HEAVEN! :smokin:

Ice yes. Watch the pain relievers after a workout though. A friend of mine told me (and I found enough online to back him up) that pain relievers like ibuprofen and naproxin can inhibit muscles from repairing and building after a workout. So, if you are trying to tone muscles, hold off about 4 hours after a work out for…

Relax! We tried for 6 months doing everything "right", including reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertlitly", charting my cycle, taking temp, etc. If someone would have told me to stand on my head 10 minutes and then run around the block counterclockwise, I probably would have done it. After 6 negative EPTs, we were both…

Well that one is easy... A cup of water and a cup of popcorn kernel take up the same volume, but they have have different weights.

Love Yoga, but don't kid yourself thinking it is easy. I broke a sweat in class on Saturday and it wasn't a "hot" yoga class. Definitely good for strength and flexibility and most assuredly good for destressing and resetting.

Sounds Yummy!

VLCD? Very low carb diet? You're body is probably craving what it needs. How about some peanut butter smeared on some reduced fat wheat thins or celery? Or if you can control yourself, just a two straight spoonfuls (savor them). As for the crab salad, how about just a 1/4 cup? As with the peanut butter, savor it. Make…

Dressing on the side! I picked up a tip from Biggest Loser a few season ago. I dip my fork in the dressing and then load it up with salad. Way less dressing consumed and still great taste.

Is it something you could live with... forever? Sounds very restrictive.

Every now and then I just have to have a quarter pounder. Guess what? The calorie police didn't come along and snatch me up  For anything to stick, you have to indulge from time to time. I have learned how to allow a glass of wine in my daily calorie goal, I know someone else that allows for a few oreo's a couple of…

I'd be interested in this, too, because I just noticed this on my Polar FT7 and am wondering what it really means.

My sister in law is doing the Dukan and last I heard had lost about 10 pounds. My concern for any restrictive diet (ie, one that eliminates specific foods or food groups) is what happens when you lose the weight and go off the diet? Is it a way of eating that you can continue for the rest of your life? Be brutally honest…

You have come to the right place! Best of luck. L

If I know where we are going for dinner, I will try to get a menu online and see what I want to eat. I can plug it in here and then pace out the rest of my day accordingly. Still can try something new, you've just planned for it!

. McD's has worked healthier options in their menu. They have the chicken sandwichs on whole grain buns, and I love their fruit and oatmeal (with no brown sugar) on those mornings when we are out the door quickly. Bottom line is they sell it because people by it. I get mad when people say "McDonald's made me fat." Hello!…

Took less than 10 seconds to find this: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/825753/making_your_own_hamburger_or_tuna_helper.html

Where does one find Body Glide? I like the deodorant idea, too.
-
an even better idea might be to google "make your tuna helper" and find out if you can replicate what is in the packet. You would save money and all the preservatives and sodium that are in the mix.
-
Only reason I haven't tried them is I just can't justify the $3 in an already tight food budget LOL

Just looked at your diary and here is my input. 1. You are leaving a lot of calories uneaten, especially on the days when you seem to have the bigger workouts. There is a day or two where you ate under a 1000 calories. I think your 1500 daily is good, but eat more of your work out calories. I have an allowance of 1450 and…

Hey kiddo! I have the same problem. I take mine at night, not necessarily on a full stomach but by no means an empty one after a day's worth of eating. I've been taking One a Day Women's. How did you come to pick Centrum Silver? I by no means want to contradict your doctor if that's what you were told to take, but I would…

Not that I think it is one of the maritial arts, but I fence. Love it! Cardio, core work, leg work, and lots of mind work. Once a week I particpate in a cardio class at my son's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school. Lots of burn there, too! One thing to be mindful of when counting the calorie burn is any down time more than a few…

I have always had this problem because I have thick thighs. I hope we get some good ideas. I typically dust my inner thighs with baby powder. That works for a bit but 1. be careful not to get it on dark clothes and 2. it's not an all day solution. The new and trimmer me likes shorter shorts and skirts, but on a hot sticky…

I had a tummy tuck a few years after my 3rd baby. I worked my way down to 145 prior to surgery as my surgeon suggested being at "goal weight." In the years after the surgery I worked my way up to 183, which I am now working off. I have to say, most people didn't realize just how much I really weighed because of my flat…

I don't think it is any interference. Both places I use it most it works most of the time, just has these moments. I will keep an eye on it and if it gets too bad I will call Polar. Thanks! L
