I'm in Austin. :)

Most of the time, eating my exercise calories are WHY I work out. It looks like I'm in the minority though, at least for this post. I did, however, make it to my goal weight doing so. :)

Morcilla (blood sausage), and the cow hoof that I once found in my soup... other than that I'm up for pretty much anything. I love food!

Rosemary and Sea Salt Wasa Thins are my favorite. And any Wasa crackers give you quite a bit per serving.

Ha, yes. With a masters degree I would have made $500 more A YEAR than with a BA. And a PhD $1000. That's it. It's crazy.

ME TOO! I've worked in public and private high schools, community colleges and universities, and teacher should get paid what they are worth, not for the number of years they have been teaching.

Me too!

Wendy's chili and a side salad is my go-to fast food. Also, Jimmy John's Beach Club no cheese, no mayo is good, but definitely not as filling.

The frozen stuff you can get in Brazil is delicious, yet grainy. As far as health benefits though, I have no idea.

Even clothes from the late 70s. I can't fit into my mom's size 8 wedding dress, and she was 127 pounds and 5'4'' when she got married, same as me.

I would get the sweaty clothes off asap, and drink your glass of water as the water is warming up for your shower. I know I always get super cold if I stay in my workout clothes, even if I think I didn't sweat very much.

Just tonight I went out for Tex-Mex and stayed within my calorie goal but still came back with my craving satisfied and my belly super full. I love chips and salsa, so I always splurge on those before the meal. Then I got tortilla soup with avocado (just one slice) and a salad with lime juice and salsa for dressing. It was…

I'm a grad student with a very limited income. I usually go to the store once every week and a half to two weeks and spend about $60 a visit. I buy a lot in bulk, I research what's on sale before I go, and I buy a ton of produce. I very rarely buy frozen or prepared meals, and I limit my eating out to about once a week.…

Saddest song ever in Spanish (and also one of the best) - Mana's "Muelle de San Blas"

I was just working out the calories... here's the plan: a Stella Artois to start off the night, a couple of Jamesons, and a glass of champagne at midnight. We'll see how that works out. :)

Hang in there chica! When I feel like the world is falling down around me I go for a long walk or a run... For whatever reason it lets me release those emotions, whether it's by sweating, or crying and sweating at the same time, and I feel better afterwards. And I agree with the above posters - get out, even if it is to…

I don't have a proper name for my bike, but it's a beautiful white Specialized Allez Triple. I <3 it! My brother and I did a 60 miler in November into the wind the entire way and it kicked our butts, but we usually try to ride 10-20 miles once a week.

When I lived in Venezuela I was at a bar with friends and headed to the bathroom, beer in hand. A random stranger stopped me and asked me if I was pregnant, and shouldn't I not be drinking. I said a few choice words to him, and then when I got back to my friends, I asked them if I looked pregnant. Yeah, 2-3 months, was…

I really think this is a cultural issue... I've only seen people worried about it in the US. In many other countries women breastfeed at the table, on the bus, on a park bench, no problems. I can't say personally because I don't have kids, but I'm pretty sure I would prefer a crowded bus with wandering eyes to a bathroom…

Damn, I guess I'm a freak. I order salad with nothing on it all the time, with some limes on the side for dressing.

I have a water bottle with a straw that I always keep filled. It's amazing how fast it goes throughout the day. Also, I find it helps to keep a pitcher of water in the fridge if you like cold water. I have a one with a Brita filter, and I find that having cold water makes me drink it more.

Where I come from (Texas) it's a sin to order your steak any more cooked than medium rare. And lord help you if you ask for A-1., or gosh, I don't know if I can even say it... ketchup! If it's a good steak, don't ruin it!

Sausage and kale soup that I adapted from some recipes I found online. Not bad!

No, because I'm American, and I don't do the whole no-hair thing. I can't believe how many people are saying they do!! That's a lot of upkeep. Now trimming (they have these wonderful beard-trimmer type things at CVS for women) is a definite must. But bare, no thank you.

People ask ME for exercise and healthy eating tips! And they tell me that they're starting weight loss programs because they've seen how much I've changed. I never thought that would happen!

Wow. I am impressed. My next project is abs like yours. Any pointers?

Mine's open too, and by no means perfect. Feel free to add me!

A completed dissertation. And new clothes.

Mine is a Merit Fitness 725T. I got it on Amazon last year, and I love it. It is absolutely perfect for what I do - walking and jogging - and was a great price. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Merit-Fitness-715T-Plus-Treadmill/dp/B003TNO1AA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323057822&sr=8-3 P.S. I think it has a 250 lb weight…

... or get a heart rate monitor and it'll record it all for you so you don't have to do the math. :)
