Great info, thanks! And thanks for spelling "lose" correctly consistently!

Bump. Good info here.

Actually, if you have watched that new series on FOX with Kevin Bacon (The Following), there's a pretty intense eye-stabbing scene in about the first or second episode. Woke me the hell up when I saw that. And it looked like it hurt. A lot. Wouldn't recommend it.

I am on here quite often, and am looking for friends to chit-chat with as well. Feel free to add me. :)

Bump. Going to get this post tattooed on my back. All of it. Might be kind of hard to reference, though. :ohwell:

I won the Optimist Award for our city (no kidding) back about 100 years ago when I was just a pup (my mom was so thrilled, I didn't know what the hell it meant), so feel free to add me. I'll always be positive, and might try (*try*) to be funny every now and then.

Bump. Great advice, thanks!

Well said. You could apply this to anyone who brings you down.

I never thought of it that way, but now that you mention it....hey, now I think it tastes gross too! Thanks!

Bump. Excellent question!

Exactly this -- I take a spinning class as well, and luckily, my Polar FT4 tells me I have burned WAY more calories that what the spinning bike has guessed. I would *highly* recommend one - it isn't too terribly expensive (compared to some of the other ones out there) and is a GREAT motivator. :)
-
This is the best place to do it - the support and all the free tools on here are great! You can do it!! :drinker:

I have the FT4 and love it as well - it does just what I need and nothing extra. I didn't want to pay for all the bells and whistles if I wasn't going to use them. And, it's not too bad on price. http://www.amazon.com/Polar-Heart-Rate-Monitor-Purple/dp/B005M1P85O (note that it does come in different colors as well) -…

I just picked these up a few days ago and LOVE them on celery! And, they're only 40 calories per packet! http://www.alouettecheese.com/products/portions/

Bump. JacksonPT, thanks for that great inspirational picture!

I once heard someone say, "Anything that feels good will make you either fat or pregnant." So true. :smokin: These shakes are great!

Ok, THAT was hilarious!

2 ounces of dry pasta (spaghetti) is 5 ounces of cooked pasta= 1 cup. This seems to be the consensus around the internet as well. http://livelovelaughlearn.wordpress.com/2009/03/18/pasta-amount-uncooked-yields-amount-cooked/ My wife checked Weight Watchers and it says 140 grams (~4.75 oz) of spaghetti cooked is same as 2…

Have some more coffee and keep us updated. :drinker:

Two of my co-workers told me they noticed that I had lost weight and I was elated! I would have hugged them but they could've sued me for harassment.

I will learn a lot from these answers. Bump.

Thanks to everyone for all the good advice! MUCH appreciated!! :drinker:

TDEE at sedentary is 2372 TDEE-20% = 1898 TDEE at actual activity level is 3064 TDEE-20% = 2451 Slowly losing my grasp on this thread even though I started it..... :embarassed:

From what I have read on the boards here, can't I set up my TDEE for a sedentary (least amt. exercise possible) lifestyle, then eat TDEE-20% on a non-workout day and TDEE-20% (plus burned calories) on a workout day, if I wanted? I realize to lose more you don't have to eat back the burned calories, but is my statement…
