  • Starting week 5 day 1 today and my legs and @$$ are sore from 30DS. should be interesting. We all can do this - your mind really does hold you back more than your body.
  • It gets better. I promise! Remember this feeling so when you kick it's *kitten* you know how far you came.
  • I usually do a 3.5/4.5 routine with a 2.0 incline (it makes my shin splints better for the walking part). On W4D1 I had to reduce my incline and I ended up dropping to a 4.4 on the run. I think now that I don't need to have the incline as much since there is so much less walking and I will try the 3.5/4.5 again tonight. I…
  • CONGRATS!!!
  • I also don't think it helped that I am pretty sure I am fighting a cold of some sort. I think the inhaler will be involved tomorrow.
  • I am not going to lie it sucked but I survived. I did have to slow down and decrease my incline but I made it and hope to get back to my usual pace on Thursday. I found that if I get into a song at the beginning of the 5 minute stretch when it is over I have less than 3 minutes to run and I know I can do that. It is the…
  • I went with the "set it for half a pound a week weight loss and be excited when I lose more than that" plan. I feel like it sets me up for success rather that "failure" if I don't lose quite as much as my goal said. It is a win if you lose weight (or inches) so I try celebrate that instead of worrying it wasn't enough.…
  • If you don't try and push your limits you will never know what you are really capable of. I start week 4 today and I have been having some of the same thoughts, but we can do it! I say give it a try and if it totally doesn't work then you know and can re-do a couple days of week 3 and then try again next week. Did you…
  • I will be starting week 4 on Tuesday of this week. I am excited every week to see what I am capable of accomplishing. I am inside at the gym partly due to weather but I feel that I cannot slack on the jogging portion like I could if I were outside.
  • I am running on a treadmill at the gym with my phone with the simple C25K app and Amazon MP3. Also, Beats ear buds from my last phone and usually. I have been switching between my Nike Shox and my AVIA running shoes depending on how my shins have been feeling.
  • Name: Jessica Location: Reno (and to keep with the football theme: home of Chris Carr and college town of Colin Kaepernick) Age: 29 Goal: To get in better cardio shape and lose some pounds while recovering from an injury that has sidelined me from weight lifting Something Fun about me: I am a huge 49er fan (we will be the…
  • I do the timed version on the treadmill and use speeds that are a brisk walk (about 3.5mph for me) and I use 4.5 for my jogging speed. One thing I read that really helped was that you should focus on getting through the program first and then worry about increasing the speed at which you run (also the distance you are…
  • I'm in. It is Week 3 day 2 for me today, but I am already feeling the difference! Feel free to add me anyone :)
  • Bump! I have the same question
  • I like the fact that I can get my info directly off the device or through the FREE online webpage. So many of the other ones I looked at involved not only paying for the device but then monthly to see your info.
  • Since I typically lift weights I mainly use it for tracking my activity outside the gym. It does come with a holder that clips on to clothes. I love it and definitely would recommend it.
  • I have one and it is in my pocket right now. That is usually where I keep it (easier than trying to wear it I found). It is about 2" by 1.5" and definitely thinner than my phone. Hope that helps!
  • Doing good so far. We will see what the scale says tomorrow, but since I decided to have a cheat day yesterday (when I helped a friend move into a 3rd floor apartment) . It will be interesting. I was still under my calorie goal by a lot. I think if I can make my first goal of 15 pounds by New years the last 25 should be…
  • Hi I am Jessica from Reno Nevada I am 28 and 5'6" and currently weigh 213. I want to get down to 199 (or less) by New Years and my current goal is 175. I hope this group helps with the tough times that will be coming up. At least in my family Thanksgiving and Christmas are NOT diet friendly.

  • Me too I am in :) Feel free to friend me
  • When I first started I found that I would get really intense cravings for pizza. After "ignoring" them for 2-3 weeks they went away and I started to feel more satisfied with what I was eating. Now occasionally I still get cravings for junk food but they are easier to ignore. I know it is easier said than done but see if…
  • I should get mine tonight... I am planning on starting on Saturday. Feel free to add me. For those of you who have done it before am I crazy to try to do that in the morning and then do either yoga or weight lifting at night? I am pretty strong even though I have quite a bit of weight to lose.
  • I try to switch it up that way your body doesn't get used to it. Higher weight with fewer reps can lead to bulkier muscles (depending on your body type) and low weight with higher reps (some days I do up to 50 in a set) also is great for muscle tone.
