I'm training for a 5k as well. It begins with intervals of walk/run. So I say run when you can and walk when you can't run. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

The best thing you can do is NOT QUIT. It sounds like you're doing everything right. Maybe up the exercise regimen just a little and / or lower your caloric intake to trick your body. Just changing one or both of these things should get you some results. Hang in there!

OOH. I see. If I set my weight loss goal for only 1lb per week and I have calorie deficits and exercise calories, MFP automatically adjusts (increases) my calorie goal for the next day to keep me on target with the 1lb per week goal. Correct?

I agree! Great will power. We have the same table in our office. The problem is, People get offended if you don't at least taste what they bring. Things like apple crisp and ice cream or homemade pound cakes and even practice wedding cakes! Geesh!!
