This one is in regular rotation at my house. It's absolutely delicious and an internet favorite.

Do eat the 1800 calories. I personally consume that amount of calories as a maximum limit daily and I exercise less than you do (I am in maintenance mode, however). The good news is that I've maintained my 43lb weight loss for almost two years. You'll be fine and it's important for you to give your body the fuel it needs,…

I too can appreciate some of her recipes, but agree that she (Lisa Lillien of Hungry Girl) uses too many processed alternatives and artificial sweetners. I guess she's a good option for those who are solely focused on calories.

I haven't experienced this personally, but I have experienced the power of prayer. If you just exercise even a little faith, God can help you overcome anything. Don't give up, pray, ask for direction and believe that He hears you. In due time, your deliverance will come. You just have to trust that it will :). His time is…

Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely check it out!

Nice job on working down those calories - I can't wait to try it!

The mexian charred salsa chicken casserole came from Cooking Light magazine and is incredible. My girlfriend and I made it together for our families on Saturday and it was incredible! The flavors were phenomenal and it was full of veggies, a perfect, delicious guilt-free meal worth every minute of all of the prep time.

I remember that incident (regarding the radio station water drinking contest and the woman who died from drinking too much of it -- it was really sad as she had children and was quite young). I am also awre of similar incidents that were broadcast across several news stations nationally. Based on these reports, I agree…

I've lost 39lbs over the past eight months, exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, eat what I want in moderation and most certainly recognize the value of eating fruits and veggies. I enjoy them immensley and am sure others on this site do as well. It is difficult to maintain at one's desired weight without a love for…

I recently watched an episode of "Hungry Girl" on the Food Network that focused on low calorie pizza. She featured one that included a whole wheat tortilla (100 calorie version), a blend of non-fat ricotta cheese and low skim mozzzarella cheese (1/4 cup), four slices of roma tomatoes and basil (no calories). I forgot the…

I agree - it's not totally user friendly :).

I like your point of view. Are you by chance in maintenance mode?
-
I'll also keep that in mind :).

Absolutely!

I hear you :).

Yes, the sprinkle toppings (can't think of the official name, but it's a powder like substance) taste pretty good. You may also opt to add a tad of light butter (like Smart Balance Light or I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Light) and you're still doing excellent on calories. A collegue prepares it here in the office and it…

Sounds great - thanks for posting!

I purchased one at Wal-mart for around $20.00 and it works great - I love it!

JStarnes: I liked your post - solid point about one having the right to make decisions that best suits their own lifestyle and/or preference (my take on your point). All points are well taken in the posts. Great to impart good knowledge, but at the end of the day, one must do what's right for them and hopefully, they're…

Thanks for researching this - I was really curious!

Wow, just 50 calories - that's amazing. According to CalorieKing.com, 1/12 (a small slice) of prepared average cake mix is about 290 calories (without icing). I'm assuming that the calorie deficit here is attributed to no sugar, oil and eggs, correct?

Looks yummy - thanks for sharing!

I can truly relate. There was a time where I really just did not like the taste of water at all, but overtime it became bearable and now it's second nature for me to fill up my water bottle (with a sprig of lemon juice - a must!) every day and keep at my desk. I sip on it and am done before I leave for the day. I average 6…

I've been looking for a good low calorie turkey chili recipe, so I'll have to give this one a try. Thanks for posting.

Hi, I originally posted a reply in haste and before reading that it was targeted towards WLS patients. I tried to delete it, but the message board wouldn't allow me to, so I've updated my post to clarify (deleting my original content). I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Lauren, I enjoyed reading your introduction and can certainly relate to making God a priority. Afterall, I asked Him to give me the motivation I needed to begin losing weight. For me, it needed to be a lifestyle change and not a fad diet and God did exactly that. He has given me the motivation to lose the weight and the…

Thanks for your great advice Smiley. Several others have said the same thing, so I'll change up some things on my workout and continue to forge ahead. The muscle gain idea sounds about right, I definitely feel a lot of soreness in my legs. See you online.

Thanks for all the great advice ladies. Much of what you have shared really resonated, so I will take your advice and see what happens. One thing is for sure, I can't look back!
