I found OA through reading bright line eating! I really enjoyed that book and it just clicked. I'm not giving up flour tho...lol

I have tried counceling and no I didn't find it to help. I go to OA meetings now and boy did it click right away!

This happened to me after I had a tonsillectomy. I also lost a crap ton of my taste also. I think it has something to do with damage of nerves or an allergic reaction for sure!

Whatever you do make sure your not just telling your overweight daughter she cant have junk and letting her sister have it. I think that is just horrible when parents do that. Try getting them both to be active, walking, enrolling in activities and healthy meals together as a family. :)

Some just made a statement above that I think should probably be known by any overweight person. Loose skin will happen to MOST people of they loose over 100 pounds! I had gastric 7/14/2009 at 333 pounds. I have stayed between 150-165 for years. I wouldn't take it back and I would do it again and again.

I'm about 9 years out and yes I do. I didn't so much the first 2 years. Remember this surgery is a tool. It doesn't fix our brain and our eating problems, that's something to work on while you transform. :)

I find that even with eating enough I STILL feel hungry. Some people just are like that.

I'm totally a night eater. I have this weird thing where I have to go to bed with a full tummy. I recently started drinking a hot cocoa before bed and I found this to help tremendously! It fills me up and satisfies that sweet tooth.

I have a hard time with water also. It really makes my hands flare. Scented things can make it flare up (laundry soap,body wash, lotion, ect.) I use thick lotion and at night I used cotton gloves to keep the moisture in. I really want to try elidel.

I've been lifting as heavy as I can go. So I have a leg day where I am doing 170 on outer thighs, 160 inner, leg press and squats just as heavy as I can go. :)

I'm the same way! I want to lose 2lbs a week, but I'm sorry! I just cannot only eat 1200 calories. I will be too damn hungry. I eat abound 1500-1600 calories a day and make sure I workout and burn at least 500 just to be able to eat it! I'm 5'4" and 163 right now.

Remember, you don't HAVE to go low carb! I do think it is important to watch out for your processed carbs like chips/candy etc. But, I think that its always best to have variety of all food groups!!

If it makes you feel any better, this time last year I was 135 pounds and now I'm 162. UHG! I was eating what I wanted when I wanted. I saw the scale keep rising and still kept eating! It's just time to make some changes, we can do it!

I usually have leftovers from whatever I had for dinner the day before. Its just easier for me, that way I don't have to spend so much time prepping and its fresh!
