I guess it depends on your settings/resistance on the machine too, right? I also heard once that the elliptical is calibrated to calculate calories for a 150-lb person... does anyone know if this is true?

So, do Vitamin D levels affect weight loss? I have had my thyroid checked numerous times and they've never found anything, but my Vitamin D is low... and I struggle to lose weight. ??

And also- a few weeks ago I suddenly lost 4 lbs when I thought I wasn't doing the best job... it doesn't make sense to me. Am I too impatient about results? Do losses/gains occur weeks after the effort or sooner? Thanks again for the help.
