Limex, you should NEVER put meat in warm water to defrost. It crates the perfect environment for bacteria to grow. Always use cool water, change it ever 10 minutes or so to keep it from getting too cold if you want it to defrost faster. When I worked in the resteraunt we would let the water run over something if we needed…

If you are new to cooking you should also definately invest in a meat thermometer. you can then figure out exactly how long to cook your food and have it be safe to eat without drying it out. I like putting mine in the broiler 8 minutes on the first side, 6 on the second then check the temp, flip and add about 1 more…

I forgot to say that I feel Sunday is te best day to go off-plan. Then you jump back into the work week routine, back on the meal plan, back to the gym. I feel like the one away is like a little vacation. Also doing Saturday as a break then being at the house Sunday makes it easier to go off track in my mind. If you are at…

Awesome! I agree with having one day a week where you eat some things you wouldn't while on your meal plan. I feel it really helps mentally. the key is to not eat the junk stuuf, though. For instance: a 97/3 lean beef burger w/ swiss cheese and sauted mushrooms and onions on a whole wheat sandwich thin and baked sweet…

That is something I noticed too is that after coming off you plateau for a week or two before you start losing again. The hardest part for me was to keep my motivation going on the down swing from the pills. It is hard to stay on the diet and excercise when the scale isn't moving.

I love how half the replies are already not a discussion of the matter at hand, I should have known this is exactly how the thread would go. Oh, well. I agree on the hydroxy cut, just gets you all cranked up. I took it many moons ago when it had ephedra in it, but thanks the the FDA we can't have that anymore. Ripped fuel…

My personal way of doing things is to spread my calories out fairlu evenly across the day my meals run from 300-400 calories each and I eat 5 times a day Every 3 hours. I like a meal that has more sugars, from fruits, berries, etc., first thing in the morning and 1 hr before I work out, I eat something with more protein in…

I don't know anything about emergen-c, but I've always heard you can't take too much vitamin c since it's water soluable and excess easily flushed out.

48-72 hours is plenty unless you over do it a little. My personal test is to give whatever muscles I'm concerned with really hard and see if it hurts. Pain=more rest.

From reading what you wrote with everything that has been going on in the past few weeks for you I think you need just need to get back on the wagon. I would advise you to forget about the bad food choices you've made and focus on the ones your are making right now. You can't un-eat anything ffrom the past couple weeks.…

My personal way of getting back to the gym after a time off is to hit it hard and do a full body workout, I start with 15 min. cardio to get pumped up, then do all the strength excercises i would normally do on a 5 day a week work out plan. I use the same weight as i was doing before the break, but usually have to lessen…

Try to add in some more strength training. More muscle mass means you will burn more calories while you run and at rest. Don't go getting any female body builder images in your head, though. That's way above the amount of muscle mass I mean. I know alot of females are afraid of looking to buff from doing weight training,…

The fact is that many people over indulge in drinking sodas. In general they are packed with empty calories, preservatives and many are acidic. would it kill you to drink a soda once a day? No, especially not if you account for the sugar and sodium in your diet. The other stuff isn't neccessarily good for you, but that's a…

In my opinion the only way to get a true BF% is to do the pinch test. I don't trust anything else to be acurate.
