  • You are AWESOME, Beefy!! I'm so darn proud of you!! Keep up the amazing work. It's a lifestyle, right? (How much did you used to want to punch people in the face that used to tell you that you didn't need to be on a diet but a "lifestyle change"??) You're a major success, my friend!! -Andi
  • Amazing results!!! You should be so proud of yourself. I love that smile in your "after" pic :) I can tell that you really believe now that you are beautiful. Wear it proudly, girl!!

  • sounds like fun!! never been but I will live vicariously through you :) you must have saved so much money by not eating out that you're now taking a vacation?! lol! enjoy!
  • You're totally right. People almost look disappointed when I tell them that I'm just doing that crazy "diet and exercise thing." Everyone does want an easy fix...and they do exist, just not long term. Glad you and I are doing it the right way :) Keep up the awesome work. You're killing it, dude!! -Andi
  • Awesome Jackie!! I'm doing TM Mid-Atlantic in September with a team. I've already run a half marathon, a 10 miler race and have several other endurance running events planned for over the summer. I'll be training this summer for the Marine Corps Marathon in October also. I do mostly body weight exercises right now, but…
  • Gorgeous, GIRL!! Keep up the hard work, bc you are looking fabulous and motivating others!! GET IT!! -Andi
  • I say GO FOR IT!! It takes a hugs amount of determination and confidence to get out there and move your body in that way. I'd love to tell you to ignore anyone who gives you funny looks, but I know that's hard. Know that you are doing the right thing for your body and naysayers be damned! Starting to run has been the best…
  • I don't think I've ever cared that people have deleted me. I know that everyone on here has their own agenda and if I'm not helping them get where they want to be, I'm ok with them deleting me. That being said, I have a really small and super supportive group of MFP buddies that keep me inspired daily. Glad to have those…
  • a newborn calf plus an ostrich egg...wow, now that really puts it into perspective! Thanks!!
  • That is real progress there, my friend! I am so proud of your accomplishments on this journey. You are making yourself, your family, friends, and each one of us proud. I definitely needed this post today to remind me about how far I've come already and to keep me from thinking about how far I still need to go (not that far…
  • I train and race with music. I leave one earbud out so that I am aware of my surroundings and other runners. I don't give a damn about what race directors say. Music helps me to keep going long after my brain and body have shut down. Good Luck! We will have to celebrate afterward!
  • CONGRATULATIONS!!! I did my first 5k exactly 6 months ago and will be completing my first half marathon this Saturday. You GO GIRL!! Hope the racing bug has bitten you!! -Andi
  • ^^ SO hear you on the boob thing!! Worst part!! -Andi
  • ^^ much luck to you. it's a slippery slope and I had to be in a good place of recovery for a long time before I could even begin to think about tracking my food and activity again. I definitely have a healthier attitude than I used to, but it's still a process to keep it in check. -Andi
  • 1. Addicted to Toffee... have eaten some every day for the ...oh ****, everyday since Christmas!! 2. When my husband isn't home, I let the dog climb into bed with me 3. I'm deathly afraid to stop running, tracking, counting, weighing... I don't EVER want to go back to the "old" me, lose my motivation, or self-control. -Andi
  • Have been consuming diet for...oh... forever, I'd guess! I stopped in October and haven't looked back. It's water, unsweetened tea, black coffee, and wine for me nowadays!! I feel a million times better now that I don't use artificial sweeter. I think that diet and regular soda are both "the devil." LOL, addictive!! -Andi
  • currently, nothing....the running always messes up the pedicure, but I may treat myself this week...
  • looking fabulous!! keep up the good work!!
  • ^^^Another fan of showtunes??!! I LOVE IT!!
  • I feel your pain. I'm not to maintenance yet, but am totally afraid of going off the deep end. Or, conversely, afraid that I won't let myself increase my calories for fear of weight gain. It's all a slippery slope really... -Andi
  • Currently a 6, would like to be in a 4. It all depends on the brand and the cut though. -Andi
  • Can I get the life-sized cut out? -Andi
  • Awesome thread! 1. I can wear cute jeans that are trendy 2. I run distances that I never would have dreamed about running 3. I've made some great friends in my marathon training group 4. My energy level is through the roof! 5. My body feels as good as it looks 6. I've inspired other people on the way to wellness, including…
  • ^^^LOVE this attitude!!
  • SW-257 CW-174 GW-155? Idk, I'll know when I'm there hopefully...a solid 174 is still better than a "Fluffy: 155 to me! -Andi
  • Hey Beef, I recommend starting with being able to finish a 5k first, then working on decreasing time an increasing speed. Someone else mentioned that you shouldn't get too focused on that 27 minute number, and I agree. My first 5K time was 42 minutes and I was just pleased to have completed it. Now, my fastest time is…
  • I've got a little over 20lbs to go. Losing 80+ lbs this year was HUGE (literally) for my confidence and self esteem. Let's DO IT!! -Andi
  • Check with a local running store in your area. Many offer programs to follow and groups to train with. My Half Marathon training group had it's first group run on 12/17 and we are training for the DC Rock n Roll half on 3/17 also. Best of luck to you!! -Andi
