  • Hey again! I just did my 2nd workout in stage 1. I feel great! Question for those that were working out like fiends before starting... I am used to working out 6 days a week and spending at least an hour if not 2 at the gym on any given day. I finished today's workout in about 45 minutes and kind of felt weird just leaving…
  • Thanks ! By the way, I'm just curious. How many cals does your HRM tell you you've burned in a workout?
  • No, how do I do that?

  • You can buy some stretchy leggings and wear tunics with them.
  • Hey girls, just getting started. Here's what I posted in the intro thread and maybe you can all ease some of my fears :) "Hey there, mind if I join? I just finished reading the book and I have an appt to meet with a trainer in the morning just to go through all the exercises in stage 1 so I can make sure I know where to go…
  • Hey there, mind if I join? I just finished reading the book and I have an appt to meet with a trainer in the morning just to go through all the exercises in stage 1 so I can make sure I know where to go and how to do it when I start by myself on Monday. I think what scares me the most is the fact that I am going to need to…
  • where's the love? All right, here's I like. www.stumptious.com
  • Believe me I am doing plenty of lunges, squats, elliptical, etc.. I can work out until I am blue in the face but part of this is my body type and all the squats in the world might help but I also have to live with what god gave me. I just need some jeans dammit :)
  • I am a workout junkie. I go almost every day and am doing a lot of cardio as well as strength training. I just started back in Sept when my son started preschool so maybe I just need more time. Right now though I need more jeans.
  • That went over my head. What's wrong with my profile?
  • This is me too except I'm 5'9! In clothes I look skinny but naked in front of the mirror is not a pretty sight :) I am focusing on working out and getting toned and firm now rather than worrying about the # on the scale.
  • I tend to do this too. Mostly because when I get hungry I don't really want to think too much about what to make so I just make what I know is healthy and fits into my diet, and also because I like it :) I am thinking of adding a few more things into my repitoire though so I just bought some ezekial bread today for the…
  • I choose fun too, but I have more fun when I drink my calories :)
  • I do, I just make sure I measure out my serving size. When I did my 2 week cleanse though I cut out all startches completely and then slowly re incorporated the whole grain stuff back in.
  • That is provided that one can eat them in moderation. Some foods like sugar and white flour are highly addictive to some people, in which case it's better to just stay away from it altogether. There is no nutritional benefit to sugar and white startch.
  • OK, it's slowly coming out of me! I've lost 2 of the lbs since I weighed myself this morning. Note to self...Drink tons o' water!!
  • I cut out all the white stuff and lost 30 lbs. I was addicted to the stuff and found that after 2 weeks of cleansing myself I was free of the cravings. Yes, grains are ok, but there is no nutritional value in the white stuff. try sticking to whole grains and you will be fine. In the last few days I let myself eat a lot of…
  • I was out of control yesterday but am back on track today. I feel like it was worth it as long as I don't let it derail my ultimate goal. One thing that does kinda suck is that between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then New Years, I feel like I am up, down, up, down, just to be able to enjoy these days, and had this not…
  • Nobody is extremely overweight but they've all got a few lbs to lose and they've all been up and down with their weight over the years. They are a family of mindless noshers, snacking on sugary, startchy foods throughout the day. They are well aware that it's unhealthy and my instinct tells me that having someone around…
  • 5'9 here too.. Start Weight was 177 Current weight 147 Goal 135-140, but toned and muscular..As someone earlier put it going from skinny fat to skinny fit!
  • You know what though? It may not be for everyone, and there's plenty out there for the ones who choose to steer clear. It does however, fill a niche for those that are looking for that level of intensity and as you call it "extremism". To each his own.
  • I can't believe I'm actually posting this. I'm 5'9, and I'm currently at 147. I am at a healthy weight but I'm not where I want to be body wise. I'd love to lose about 10 more lbs, but I'm also trying to build muscle so that I'm not skinny-fat. So pretty much for me at this point the magic # is unknown because I'm looking…
  • Not long winded at all. This was exactly the kind of response I was looking for. Thanks!!
  • Yeah, I read that article, which is why I am a little scared. However, I also know that if you go to the right place they will make sure you get the fundamentals down with the correct form before they let you do the regular WOD's. I think my main concern though is that I have never been very athletic and I'm wondering if…
  • My absolute favorite is Nu-Tek's Pro5 145 calories 1gm Fat 2gm Carb 32gm PROTIEN! It comes in a bunch of flavors and mixes very easily. I have it twice a day. It's very tasty for a protiein shake.
