I love to run. I love to eat. I admit I run a lot so I can eat, drink, and be merry. I'm not one of those persons who "eats to live", I "live to eat". LOL. Before starting MFP, I gained weight during marathon training by giving myself a free pass to eat as much as I wanted. I've been here on MFP for almost 3 years and…

800-1000? You weren't losing at 1200 and you weren't losing at a higher intake? Aw hell, might as well cut it down to 500 calories a day since you're promoting a very low calorie crash diet. While we're there, how about 200 calorie a day?!!

Nanu Nanu. RIP :-(

Yep, you're going to gain a ton of weight. Might as well throw in the towel.

Just throw that crap away. I don't own one - never have, never will. It only paints one small part of the picture. If your clothes are fitting fine, and you like what you see in the mirror, it's pointless to let 6 different numbers in the span of one weigh-in dictate how you feel about yourself. I just don't get the point…

Now I feel like a weirdo. I never knew people went commando while wearing lined running shorts. :-) I always wear my undies while running.

That was one of my biggest problems. Though I'm not perfect, I have come as close to moderation as I possibly can. This goes not only with alcohol, but everything. If it's something you simply can not eliminate, don't. Have a little of it. Fit it into your calories. Otherwise, if you restrict yourself too much, you'll…

Wow. I feel fortunate that I did not have to grow up with insecure females in my family. That's the only reason that can explain why she acts the way she does and says the things she does. However, I've been around female friends like that. Fortunately it doesn't happen anymore but it used to when we were younger. I'm…

Heheheh, well then welcome to the Dark Side! Enjoy your success and enjoy your new wardrobe! :-)

I have nothing to add except, awesome job ladies! Y'all look great! I'm not going to judge anyone who's lost weight using surgery, but I think it's soooo incredible to be able to lose it without! Amazing what the human spirit and will can do! You are all perfect examples of that.

I love food. All kinds. I need variety. So much good food out there.

Well, this happened a long time ago, actually. As a high school grad, I worked at a call center where I would sit on my *kitten* all day taking calls. I used to drink a six pack of coke a day while at that job. Needless to say I was at my heaviest. I went on to college, started "dieting", and lost the freshman 15 and then…

Hi. I'm 4'10" 102 pounds and have been maintaining at an average of 2000 calories a day for the past three years. I initially lost 10 pounds in early 2011 when I first joined MFP. There are low and high days, of course, depending on my activity level. I am an avid runner and can burn anywhere from 500-800 calories a day,…

Awesome! Keep up the good work!

Go girl! Zumba did you well! Keep it up!

In general I think 1200 is too low for most people, but for petite ladies who are verrrrrry sedentary, I can see that being enough. (Personally, not for me, no way, no how), But some people just don't need that much.

I am 4'10" and I set my goal to 2000 for maintenance. I initially lost 10 pounds 3 years ago by setting my goal to 1600 and not eating my exercise calories back. I do have to note that I typically burn about 500-800 calories a day through running, and sometimes over 1000 on the weekends if I have a long run. I'm currently…

Oh good lord. I've read the books but I don't see why the big interest in the film. I think the people shocked by these books and the content are mainstream men and women who've only known vanilla sex their whole lives. Oh, and people who think they are horribly written books. Kudos to 50 shades marketing people. Now it's…

Hm, I feel like I'm not using my Garmin to its full potential either. I usually leave it on lap pace, total time, and distance. I have the 410 and don't know why. I should have just stayed with the 305 or bought a cheap 2xx or 1xx series.

Ugh. It's tough trying to work around the two. Whoever invented the HRM clearly did not have boobage ladies in mind. I don't wear mine that much anymore but I would wear it right under my breasts, under the sports bra. I sweat profusely so sometimes it shifted under there. I think if you have the same problem, the Ace…

p.s. I know what you mean about those post race alcohol calories. :-) Hey, gotta factor them in still, right?

Ugh! It is quite common to gain weight while marathon training. You run 20 miles and think you deserve that whole medium pizza! (LOL, I've NEVER done this... never! :-) ) This is why I came to MFP. I really had to take a hard look at how I was really eating, especially during marathon training. I initially lost 10 pounds…

Love this! **Oh no, I've NEVER had any of these thoughts... never! *** **sarcasm***

Really really excellent progress for 3 weeks! I always chuckle when I hear the word "moobs". :-) They are kind of endearing though. LOL!!! Good job!!

I sho am HONGRY!

Crunches are great for strengthening the core, but won't necessarily reduce your belly pouch. A lot of people have said it - you'll need to reduce overall body fat and gain muscle. Continue to watch what you eat and strength train.

I regularly buy Cooking Light magazines. The recipes are mostly about tasty, nutritious, "real" food. (i.e. no fake fats, oils, sugars, flavors, etc.) +1 to skinnytaste.com. I love her style and her outlook on food!

Brussel sprouts are so yummy when they are roasted and nutty! I haven't roasted them with butter (mainly olive oil, since it doesn't burn as easily), but I'd try it. Will try em with hazelnuts.

Through lots and lots of exercise. :-) I'm 4'10" and have maintained my weight for the past three years. I set my calorie goal to 2000 gross calories because I usually burn anywhere from 500-800 calories a day through running. I have a FitBit, and typically when I am sedentary and don't exercise, my daily burn is about…

I don't own a scale so I weigh every month or so when I'm around one.
