Ahh yes! The dreaded, but much loved food! haha! I love to cook, so am continuously coming up with new and healthy food options.... but I just need to remember 'smaller portion sizes'! and.... "LAY OFF THE COOKIES". I really enjoy the gym too!

Welcome! I am getting back on the horse- as it were! I have a very large mirror in my hall way. Great for making the hallway appear larger... not so good for my self esteem and making me feel good about my appearance!! I *often* dislike how I look, esp. with little clothing on, so I dress very conservatively! (covering…

I prefer MFP over WW too. I was on WW for 6 months or so... and I didnt really receive the support I was wanting (online). Plus I was also paying for the service and it wasnt giving me the benefit I was wanting. So, I quit WW, and ironically the next day a friend of mine sent me a MFP link.... almost a year on, I am still…

Hey! I train in the morning too. Not the miniute I spring/fall out of bed, but I train after I have sent the kids to school etc... I usually have a protein shake before leaving home. I workout/exercise better after having something, than just going on empty. I personally find I can last longer at gym/walk/run/cycle etc...…

Hi there! I love cooking too, and also hate being hungry! Looking for lowfat/healthier options when cooking is paramount, and is good to expand one's repetoire! Since monitoring how many calories I consume, I am amazed how much junk is out there, and where I need to improve. and also how much better I am eating and cooking…

Here is a sample of what I eat Breakfast: 1/2 a Weetbix with 2 dessert spoons of fruit yoghurt. 5-10 Feijoas (seasonal). 250ml protein shake with frozen berries. Mid morning: Banana, apple or orange Lunch: Either 4 pieces bread with ham…

Opps, sorry! Yes I am female. 32 years old. I am quite muscly already, however, I have a good coating of fat! lol I need to manage what I eat I reckon, input more so than output! as my output is good, it is what i eat that lets me down i reckon. Any advice on a lean, mean, muscle-machine diet??

lol.... Oh I never get enough sleep! (not through trying....!) I have a baby who wakes every 2 hours (sometimes hourly) and so I am constantly up and down and do not get a decent amount of sleep, unfortunately.... but overall, I dont feel tired. The body has adjusted to having madame waking regularly. I do agree with the…

Hey! I love sushi. I generally have cucumber or avocado with chicken teriyaki or salmon. Sushi is approx. 300cals for 8 pieces and that no doubt is healthier than Mc Donalds, Pizza hut or other takeaways!

 Hey! Congrats on the 55 pounds lost so far! I have only lost 12lbs +/- so far and I feel great... so I can only imagine what 55lbs GONE feels like! I too, would love to lose another 25-30lbs, like yourself... I do get down on myself at times,... but I pick myslef up by getting out and doing something active. Mix in…

Whilst pregnant I maintained my fitness by road walking for 2 hours, and doing weights at the gym for 30 mins, 4-5 days per week.... when I was about I was 7-8 months pregnant I laid down on a flat bench to do dumbell chest press... That all went well, until I tried sitting up. As my baby belly was quite 'rounded' I found…

How about doing strength training at home/work? Lunges, squats, press ups, tricep dips etc... Start with doing as many as you can, (within reason!) and then attempt to increase it every couple of days? You could always use some form of 'weight' whilst doing those exercises... eg.. a child sitting on your back whilst you…

Hi! Good on you for starting using MFP with all of us! When my children were young (under 5) I used to put them in daycare at the gym too. I was lucky, at the tme, I was attending a gym with childcare facilities. I would recommend weighing yourself no more than once per week (same time and wearing the same clothes, or…

Hi and welcome to MFP. I have been using this site for approx. 2 months now and I think it is great. I have the app on my cell phone, so I track everything I eat, when I eat it. Having the app on your phone is so much easier than having to use the computer to add what you have eaten, unless you sit infront of a computer…

Hey thanks for that! I love baking, and have 4 children who love baking too, so will give these a whirl sometime! Add me if you like.

I can empathise with you. I go through days of feeling fat, frumpy and yuck... but if I think to myself that if I stay fat n frumpy I will stay unhappy.... so that gives me the motivation to eat better and do some exercise. Good luck to you. Add people of from here, and they will help motivate you! (feel free to add me!!!)…

Hey! I have never done that dvd, but I do do yoga. It is great to stretch/relax your muscles especially after you have done lots of weights or cardio! I quite often do 2 or 3 days of weights, then do 1 day of yoga... and I thoroughly enjoy the gentle stretching etc... :)
