  • Huh- just weighed myself, couldn't resisit. The scale is saying I've lost 3.5 lbs. This is only day 6 so I know it is mostly water loss but I'll still take it. Good for the mental state to see the numbers dropping regardless of the cause. Be back later ladies. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Online Calorie Counter

  • here are a few great money saving tips I used when my kids were growing up- I grew up in Fla. so those great little buggaboos would get in the grin products. One way we solved this was by freezing flour, sugar, cornmeal, etc. As I raised my kids I found myself at the dollar store at times. I would see cherrios, chips,…
  • happy-happy. I did a bunch of healthy shopping yesterday and stuffed it all in the fridge and freezer. This morning after digging through the stuff for breakfast items I thought I'd never eat this stuff cause its too messy and don't want to deal with it. So pulling on my strong organizational skills and knowing I…
  • hmmmmm- adore mexican food and love to go in (especially the tortilla shop)and see what's new and different in the markets. However- My hubby is 1 of only 3 town cops in a town where 90 % of population is illlegal and while there are some really nice, friendly folks many know I am a cop's wife and so I get lots of dirty…
  • Because we live out in the middle of nowhere I use the twice monthly shopping trip as a treat to eat out- although Taco Bell isn't a treat. I wanna live in the real world. I grew up with 7 brothers and sisters in a navy family and even way back then it cost way too much to eat out even at a fast food place. Never did it as…
  • I agree with fitnesschick. Use the tape measure. As an older person I will never be able to weigh 140 or so due to age, menopause, genetics (thanks mom and dad!) . But I DO know that my measurements will change for the better and that is what I am looking for. I depend on my clothes fitting differently.
  • I love your motivation. I am sure you will be successful over the slowdown. What are you going to do to rev up again?
  • I have read many articles about green tea and have never really gotten the info. on how it helps one lose weight. However, it does give our immune system a boost and I am thinking since I've read that dieter are suppose to drink 4-5 cups a day of green tea, I believe with all that tea sloshing inside you- you are to full…

I am adjusting my calorie intake slightly and play around with it until I take in what I need. Thanks for all the thoughts.
  • I'm 5'7 and 221 lbs. Need to have a jump start and see some lbs drop off for my mental health. However maybe upping to 1400 or just adding a few more snacks (healthy of couse) might be the ticket. I am using ya'll to think out loud. Hubby is still asleep(criminals were active last night and he worked a 16 hr. shift) so no…

  • this is kind of a dumb question but how do you log this or any recipe into the food diary?
  • I am making out my shopping list using these great recipes. This looks really good but I have to watch my carbs-insulin resistant- so I thought I might make this and use a muffin tin for each serving. That way I can still have a "whole" serving but its portion controlled for me. I gotta figure out the carb count for this.…
  • I teach 3rd grade (2nd year teacher). I know what you mean about kids bringing in treats. I very quickly realized that I had to get a handle on this however. I have trained the kiddos to show me whatever they bring so that I can oohh and aahh over it then they put it on my desk for later. My desk is in the back of…

  • :drinker: I just started logging my food and exercise yesterday on MFP. I know from past experience that I do best at staying on target if I have a day planned out and I just have to look at what I am suppose to be eating.
