I agree w/ the above. I don't care for the taste of couscous and I love pasta. I do love quinoa though. I cook it in chicken stock most of the time.

I've been here for a lil over a year. I've lost about 45 lbs. I took a break over the spring cuz life just got crazy. I gained back about 5 lbs or so and started back again. I'd like to loose another 20-25 lbs. Feel free to add me if you wish :)

I understand where you are coming from. I would only say to keep a level head about everything. Don't become so obsessed about weight loss and your diet that you can't enjoy holidays or special occasions with family and friends. I've tried to approach this as a complete lifestyle change.

I'm sorry about the problems w/ your heel but if you can use a recumbant bike you might try and find one online at the classifieds. I saw one in my area yesterday, I think it was. You might be able to get one pretty reasonable. You could also check out the used sports equipment places in your area as well.

I have reduced my carbs by quite a bit but I'm also keeping an eye on my glucose levels because of Pre Diabetes. I usually stay between 60-120 carbs a day. I don't know about them folding but when I bought mine I got it at a used sports equipment place. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on something I wasn't sure that I would keep using. I got mine at a pretty good price. When I wear it out, I'm going to get one that is a little bit better.

Chocolate milk, fried potatoes and onions, cheesecake, the brownies and ice cream already mentioned...uhhh yum, warm from the oven chocolate chip cookies w/ a big ole glass of milk, and yeast dinner rolls w/ honey butter. I can say that none of these are in my house at the moment except vanilla ice cream...LOL oh and milk.

Interesting post. I'm not a vegetarian but I will keep track of this. For your next meat consumption you might consider eating fish, chicken or turkey. Those might be lighter in flavor and easier on your system since it isn't accustomed to meat anymore. Good luck :)
