I'm having the same problem keeping my sugar under my daily allowance. How come so much of the foods we love have so much darn sugar. I love fresh fruits but guess what - some are loaded with sugar. Dr. recommends I eat a banana every day for my potassium, but it has 10 grams of sugar. How can we keep sugar down when all…

Nothing wrong with a treat now and then. I do it too. Just be careful what you consume, get the best off the menue calorie wise and then the next day, get back on your daily routine. :flowerforyou:

Open your diary so we can make comments on your daily intakes. Without seeing what you are eating, it is hard to give good advice.

I eat one small fuji apple almost every day and MFP says it has no sugar. Maybe the bigger the fruit the more sugar it has. I know bananas have a lot of sugar as well as other fruits, but I hear natural sugar is okay as long as you don't consume sugar in other ways. I may be wrong so you may want to check that out. Good…

I'm probably a lot older than those of you who have responded, but I'm 5'3", started at 188 lbs. now 154 lbs. and my goal is to get to 150 lbs. Been at this for well over a year, but I will get there. I will feel comfortable in my skin and clothes at that weight. When I was younger weighed 120 lbs at 5'5" - you shrink over…

Is your diary open so we can see what you are consuming?

Your body probably thinks it is starving. Up your calorie intake to at least 1200 and watch the sodium, sugar and fat intake. This may help. Good luck to you.:flowerforyou:

Congratulations on your weight loss. I don't drink enough water either but I find that if I add some sort of flavoring to it, it helps me get it down. Exercise is so important and you adding more to your routine is a great thing. I need to do that also. I've been working out in the yard getting it looking better since the…

I was tired all the time, just wanted to sleep after only being up for a couple hours and I did gain a lot of weight. That was many years ago and have been on meds. to keep it under control. Losing weight has not affected my thyroid condition but it has helped my blood sugar and best of all my attitude.........

Took me about 15 months but I didn't start to exercise regularly until I was on MFP for a while. Exercise really helps and I should have started it in the beginning when I joined.

Awesome - well done - you look fabulous!:flowerforyou:

You look great!! How did you get your abs so trim in just a few months?

Current weight 154, pants size 16. I think the brand of pants you buy have different sizes. I know a person that weighs the same as me and she wears a size 10. I'm 5'3" and she is 5'4" and only 2 years different in age. Go figure!!:ohwell:

This is really good but my hubby doesn't like rice, so I serve over some kind of low cal pasta.

I have 4 lbs. to get to my goal weight. It has taken me a long time to get there (started Aug. 2011) but I'm not giving up. I feel so much better, have a lot more energy and look so much better in my clothes and skin. I have some toning issues to take care of so still a work in progress. I intent to stay on MFP for my…

In my childhood days there was no tv, no internet, no fast foods and mostly we could not afford to have snacks. Once in a great while an ice cream treat. Today the children and some adults do not how to eat healthy foods due to the accessability of convenience foods (loaded with fat and sodium) and the fast food…

Don't knock it until you try it. What may be good to one person may not be good to another. Please, be kind and not rude!!:grumble:

Sounds like you have found a routine that works for you. Glad you are using MFP, it has helped me to lose 33 lbs. Although it was slow, I am proud of myself for getting almost to my ultimate goal weight. You didn't put on the weight in a short time so it will take a longer time to get it off. I do the Walk a Mile in 15 dvd…

You look marvelous my darling!!:flowerforyou:

A great post Cindy. I know how you feel about not being able to accomplish what you want to do. I'm having the same problem. But with MFP and all the encouragement I get, I feel like I can do what I want to accomplish. It really helps having friends to support you and give you a kick in the fanny when you need it. I don't…
