  • You can get the HR on the Fitbit website and I bought mine on Target's website last night (its supposed to arrive sometime next week). As far as I know it is not available in any physical stores yet but it is available online
  • For me it has been having my husband doing this with me. We both hold each other accountable (with food and exercise) which is great. Sometimes just knowing that he is going to go running is all the motivation that I need to get off my butt and go with him. I know that I could probably do this without him, but I know that…

  • Congrats on your 5 pounds!!! I have had a similar problem. I'm 5'4" and started at 137 (now down to 123) and most people IRL didn't get excited for me because I wasn't overweight to begin with. My husband is a huge support though and I just set fitness goals for myself and get excited when I reach those. You are doing this…
  • Awesome!!!! Congrats....keep up the hard work!
  • You just have to "get back at it." I think once you get back into your old routine you'll start feeling great about it again. When I stop going to the gym, or doing your workouts (for whatever reasons) it can be difficult to get going again, even though in my head I know I'll feel better if you go, but I just have to force…
  • If these things are in your house and you know that you can't avoid eating them, then stop buying them. My problem in the beginning is that there are always unhealthy snacks in the conference room at my work so now at the beginning of the week I just pack a ton of healthy snack options (fruit, protein bar, greek yogurt,…
  • Pool workouts are great...typically you can even do things like water aerobics, water running, etc... even with a foot injury because its your foot doesn't get as much impact as it would if you weren't in the water. Exercise bike (if your doctor says its okay) Upper body strength training and Abs

  • I typically try to net around 1400-1500 a day
  • my cat likes salami (but only 1 brand from the deli called Dilusso, any other brand and he won't eat it)....he's special
  • I am an athletic trainer, who works for a physical therapy company. This is what I would suggest trying. The physical therapy company that I work for (as well as many of our competitors) offer complimentary injury screens. This involves either a physical therapist or athletic trainer evaluating your injury and telling you…
  • If you have lost 7 pounds in 8 weeks then you are almost losing 1 pound a week, that is a pretty good loss. You can't expect to lose the weight super quick, it took awhile to put it on and it will take some time to lose it. As long as you are losing consistently you are on the right track.
  • been together for 5.5 years, married for almost a year and I couldn't imagine life without him, so I guess its still sparkles and unicorns for me.
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey. This is a great tool
  • try to stick to some of the healthier options, and you can always ask them to modify it slightly when they make it for you. My husband and I go to Chili's a lot and I typically get the grilled chicken fajitas, without the tortillas (grill veggies and chicken aren't too bad for you). Also, like the previous poster mentioned…
  • I tried it once, I thought it was really good (but make sure the chickpeas are really, really ground up because it makes the consistency better) I think the way that I made the recipe it was about 30 calories per 2 tablespoons.
  • If it is what some people term as "shin splints" there could be a lot of causes. Have you started a new exercise routine? Gotten new shoes? Are your shoes really old and worn down? Are you favoring your left leg for any reason? Anyway the real point is that its hard to give any sort of medical advice through the internet…

  • Way to turn what could easily have been a very bad option into a great one! Awesome Job!!!
  • This has been great for a lot of reason *There's an app for your phone so you can even look up how many calories are in something when you are out to eat or on the go * It puts weight loss into numbers and makes it very easy to plan your day or even week * the forums are great for getting motivation or asking questions Con…
  • The 2 stores that I know of that do that are "Fleet Feet" which I believe to be an national chain. The second is "**** Pond" which might just be in the Chicagoland area (there are 3 here), but I am not completely sure about that one. But both places are great and fitting you for the right kind of running shoe. Hope this…
  • The great thing about doing DVDs at home is that in the beginning if you only make it through half or if you need to take a break you don't feel like anyone is judging you. I would start with something like 30DS and during the first week just try and do as much of it as you can, and continuously build from there. OR if you…
  • Awesome job!! It always feels great to hit a goal and just re-affirms that you are on the right track!
  • Starting Weight: 137 Current Weight: 124 Goal Weight: 120
  • That is quite a bold statement, considering I drink it and I'm 5'4" 122lbs and 17% body fat. So I would say that "Everybody that drinks it is overweight" is a HUGE generalization and simply wrong
  • I completely understand..... I decided to give up soda (and I usually drink Diet coke or Diet dr. pepper) and candy for lent this year. So I only started yesterday but all I want is a Diet Coke. I know that once I get to about 2 weeks I won't be craving it anymore, but until then I guess I just have to deal with the…
  • AMAZING job!!!! That is a very impressive story, thanks for sharing it! CONGRATS on your success
  • this is sooooo good!! I also do this, but make a mixture of fat free whip cream and sugar free/fat free pudding.... its a little creamier which I like better and the calories are about the same because I make the pudding with unsweetened almond milk!
  • I'm 5'4" and started at 137 (currently 124) and I would like to get to 120 if possible. The first 10 pounds were pretty easy (took me 11 weeks) but these last few are really being difficult.
  • Great job!!! Keep up the hard work!
