I really need help putting together a structured workout plan for me but have no idea how to do it. My family doesn't really help much with that and aren't completely supportive of my weight loss. So any help or advice would be very helpful! (:

Have you thought of doing a DVD plan like 30 day shred?
Or are you going to be working out at a gym?0 -
no I'd have to do everything at home. I'm thinking about 30ds but I'm nervous to do that because I'm really out of shape.0

Maybe start out walking and slowly work up to running?0

The great thing about doing DVDs at home is that in the beginning if you only make it through half or if you need to take a break you don't feel like anyone is judging you. I would start with something like 30DS and during the first week just try and do as much of it as you can, and continuously build from there. OR if you would rather be outside you could start walking and then add jogging intervals (1-2 minutes each) into a walking routine, and ultimately try to lengthen the time of your jogging intervals so that you are running more and walking less. It just mostly important that you get moving, so find something that you enjoy and you can always modify anything so that it works for you now and in the future.0

30 day shred would be good, even if you are out of shape, they show "modified" versions of most exercises that you can start with and work your way up to the full exercise as you go. Things like pushups (real or modified), crunches, squats, lunges, etc. are all great at-home strength-training exercises. Stretching is important, and can also be done at home. If you don't have hand weights, jugs of water, heavy cans of food, etc. are all things you can use for arm strength workouts that you can do at home (bicep curls, tricep extensions, etc). Do some jumping jacks, jump rope, run in place, and step ups (on like a sturdy box or something) are all fairly stationary cardio exercies that you can do at home. Also, go for walks, jog, run, ride a bicycle, go shoot baskets at the local playground, don't know if you have stairs, but if you do, walk or jog laps up and down them. There are a lot of things you can do if you just get creative =-). Good luck!0

Well I put 30 day shred on hold at the library and I get it the 8th of this month to try it out and then if I like it I'm going to buy it. I do have stairs and I'm up and down them all day long doing laundry and what not, my stairs can't handle running up and down them though they separate from the wall. I have Wii fit plus and I do the free step on it for a half hour and that really makes my legs sore but I'm starting to move faster on it and get more steps in 30 minutes. Thanks I'll try and get creative we have a whole gym basically in my garage I just don't know what to do with any of it0 -
If you have a wii, you might want to think about Zumba. I love doing it on the play station. It is so much fun and burns a ton of calories.0
