I take 1/4 cup dry rolled oats (unsalted, slow cook kind) and cook them (leaving a little bit of water to soak up the next ingredients) and mix them with 1 TBSP ground flaxseed, 1 TBSP cinnamon and 1/4 cup blueberries. I ALSO eat 1 egg + 3 egg whites scrambled with veggies and sometimes add either goat cheese or 1 tbsp…

Great job! It is so awesome that you and your hubby are taking this journey together! :flowerforyou:

On the first sentence, you ain't missing much, IMHO. The second one - you can do it if you really wanted to! My only advice would be to practice either on a grassy knoll or put down a yoga mat, just to be safe.

I love that! I need to adopt your mentality!

Excellent job! Congratulations!:flowerforyou:

I have never eaten liver & onions. I have never traveled outside of North America. I have never had (and never will have) a daughter. (I have 2 sons, so maybe one day I'll have a daughter-in-law.) I have never bungee jumped. I have never gotten a tattoo. I am happy to say that out of all those things, there is really only…

Not EXACTLY the same, but the same as far as portions. Breakfast is usually 1/4 cup dry oatmeal with cinnamon and flaxseed and blueberries and then 3 eggwhites + 1 whole egg scrambled with veggies and I vary the veggies. Lunch is 1/2 cup cooked brown rice and then whatever meat is leftover from the night before + a low…

I stay far away from them if they have guarana in them. It makes my stomach sick and my heartbeat go sky high.

Wednesdays and Saturdays. Saturdays to see how I am starting off my weekend (because Friday nights I am wiped out and rarely go out on the town) and Wednesdays to be sure I am back on track from any Saturday or Sunday festivities. For me, daily weighing becomes obsessive and I get bummed if the scale goes up half a pound…

Congratulations! That IS an accomplishment!!! :flowerforyou:

Dang, I should have thought of that sooner! Great idea!

I guess a diet coke will have to do for me. :ohwell: I don't want to NOT go because of the popcorn (chocolate has a bigger pull for me - kind of like your love of popcorn). The fact that my sons (who are 18 and 20) actually WANT to have a family trip to the movies today makes me not want to skip it for the world. I'll just…

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I read part of it and decided against it because I eat meat. If I recall, it's a vegan diet. If you choose to follow it, though, good luck to you!

Glad we could help! And good for you for turning it around!

Me too, that is why I am back to this site. I need to pay attention because I like to eat. This makes me focus on how much and *what* I am really putting into my body. I work out so hard, I want the results to show!

Exactly. Start planning ahead and mapping out your day. An occasional surprise is something you can overcome, but on a daily basis it is best to plan ahead.

You can adjust your goal. Make a goal that is reasonable for you and GO FOR IT! You can do it!

Today's plan (because it's always good to have a plan!) is stretch. Today is a rest day to recover from the intense workout. So, I will do the P90X stretch DVD and will be REALLY strict on my calories. I have found that on the days I workout, I can go over a couple hundred a day and still lose weight, but since stretching…

I just watch "Cops" and then count my blessings. I have all my teeth, I've never been arrested, my husband doesn't beat me....I just need to lose some weight. Things could be worse.

Woo hoo! 2 pounds gone this week!

Oh, I don't care if THEY drink. But it will need explaining, because that is what my family does at gatherings. Not rip-roaring drinking, but everyone is expected to drink and I made it a goal to not drink until 4th of July. I do like the idea of a highball or fancy glass with club soda and lime, that is excellent!

You could weigh yourself, but just know that if it is up a little, you shouldn't be disappointed. If you think it will make you bummed - wait a few days.

3 egg whites with bellpeppers, onions and a little bit of goat cheese, 5 grape tomatoes, 1/2 cup oatmeal with ground flaxseed, cinnamon and blueberries. Oh, and OF COURSE, coffee.

Thank you ladies! And thanks for the Congratulations! I will pass it along to my son. (He uses this website too, but he won't tell me his username, haha.

Yeah, I get that feeling sometimes, too. BUT some of the things you mention are excellent workouts. Hiking is great and the whole family can do it together! I have found that my routine had to change over the years depending upon my kids' schedules and activities. It hasn't always been easy, but it IS do-able. Flexibility…

I always have to remind myself that tomatoes are NOT a vegetable!

You have a great weekend, too! My plan for tomorrow is quite ambitious (which is why I will be heading off to bed shortly). I will do the 1 hour tabata circuit training at my gym followed by the 1 hour group strength class. PLUS, we finally have decent weather so there will be some yardwork thrown in at some point, too.…

Ha ha, I can see why that might tick him off!

Ask your boss what he'd been smoking...:smokin: . Ok, wait, don't. I don't want to be responsible for getting someone fired.

My husband calls me Babe and I call him Hon, but usually just use our names. The cutest thing is my parents, though. I have never EVER heard them call each other by name. It is ALWAYS, "Hey Honey!" or "Dear". They only use their names when referring to each other in a conversation with someone else.
