It is put out by the same folks that do P90X - but it is more of a cardio workout, which for me was lacking a bit in P90X. However, it lacks the instructional stuff that P90X has - you just sort of jump in and do it. And, it is very high impact, which has me a tad worried because I have had a few bad injuries of late and I…

A friend at work has horses and recommended the rubber pads for horse stalls. She said I could put them in the garage and drive on them and everything. That sounds like the rubber mats you are talking about. I may have to drive over to the next town to the farm supplier and see what they've got!

I like to be pushed and workout HARD, but this seems like asking for trouble. I don't want to hurt myself and have to take time off of exercise entirely because of it. Thanks for your input!

If I had the answer, I wouldn't be here. However, there are a couple tricks that help in the long run: 1) The weight loss is for the LONG HAUL, not the short term. So if you screw up one day because something terrible happened, start over the next day. 2) I try (emphasis on TRY, not always successful) to focus on…

Well, not as much older as I thought - but a little bit! LOL - YOu look great!

I am a bit older than you, so I take a Calcium with D (500 mg), Flaxseed oil (1,000 mg), Vitamin E (400mg) and a multivitamin. And, most days, an allergy pill since I am allergic to grass, mold, trees and weeds.

I agree!

Yes and I was TERRIBLE and now it's back on the wagon. I feel bad - not guilty, just ugh. My body wants to eat lighter and skip the sweets and rolls and junk! Here's to a fresh start today!:drinker:

HA HA HA!

Good luck to you! Yes, this site is TOTALLY addicting! And if you stay true to it, it will keep you on track.

Welcome! This is a wonderful site with supportive people. Surf through the message boards, you'll find lots of advice and motivation! :flowerforyou:

Probably the best thing to do would be a heart rate monitor, but I'd say a whole lotta calories. My son does those DVDs in the garage and leaves a puddle of sweat behind when he is done!

Hahahaha! No, I meant the teacher changes the class up a lot and sometimes it is more cardio and sometimes she incorporates core work, balance and all the other stuff you said.

Banks is correct (today). The teacher mixes it up and sometimes we line the bosu balls up and do line drills - that always kills me. My back was out last week and fortunately she took it easy on us today (well, easier). Lots of core and balance work and we used the ball upside down to do burpees and plank exercises. I have…

Sorry, I am useless for this since I hate both. Heat like that makes me want to pass out! Maybe check with a doc (?)...

Good job! You SHOULD be proud of yourself! :drinker:

Honestly, it just kind of happened by itself. I got stressed out when I didn't get my "to-do" list done in the evening. After a glass of wine, the "to-do" list had lost importance and then in the morning I'd be irritated with myself for not getting it done. So, slowly, it lost its nightly appeal. Although your profile pic…

Could be. Also could be hormonal. I know the week before my Aunt Flo visits my appetite goes waaaay up.

Beer, then I got rid of that and substituted wine. Plus a stressful job with plenty of available chocolate and a staff room full of crap to eat. Two active kids with after school activities. Somewhere in there I lost ME. Finding ME again means I actually WANT to exercise and be thin and feel really good. So, I now have a…

Welcome! This site will definitely help you practice "mindful eating" during the holidays. One word of advice that has worked for me - just don't keep the junk in the house. If it's not good for you, then it's not good for your kids either! They may whine a little for a while but if you get creative with healthy…

It's sad, she wasn't one of the "bad girls", at least not that I can recall. I hope we don't find out it was some horrible lifestyle she was living, drugs etc.

My whole family did it and had great success (my son lost 22 pounds!). We all got toned. I still use the workouts mixed in with classes at my gym. I do have to be careful with some of the exercises since I have a bad lower back. But it is very complete and well put together. I like that they give you the nutrition guide.…

If your son has it too, it is probably one of those fast moving stomach bugs. They usually don't last too long, so hopefully today will be better. :flowerforyou: Weigh in - FINALLY my ticker has moved! get_fit 2009 SW 175/CW 163/ GW 140 - 2.5 lost This morning I do my Legs and Back video for my P90X. Hi everyone! Ok, all you sickie poos, don't e-breathe on me! I hope you feel better, Sheila and Anita! I drove 9 - count 'em - 9 hours yesterday, but my baby is home from college now so it was worth it. I got up and worked out this morning, and I thought it would feel good because I sat so much yesterday. However, I ate…

Maybe her honey bunny is back so she didn't have time for us any more because they are busy bunnies... :blushing:

Hmm, sounds like the "X" one might be more advanced. I would call them to see if their front desk person can tell you so you don't get a surprise when you go. Unless, of course, you like surprises.

Good for you! It's better to have 2 so they have a friend when you're not home! I'm going to 1/2 hour spinning followed by 1/2 hour abs. For P90X it is supposed to be a 90 minute yoga, but I am skipping that one because last week it screwed up my back. It is a BEAUTIFUL morning, so I have lots of energy today! Have a great…
