I shall need to remember this little chocolate tidbit when PMS strikes. :grumble: About the calcium, I do take a supplement and don't mind having milk as an actual drink with my lunch. I just feel like if I could learn to like it black, it might be a good pick me up every once in a while without adding calories. It is WAY…

Wow, I am going to have to go to the store and get some tomorrow, everyone is raving! Thanks!

Great minds must think alike - see the post above. Glad to hear that more than one person likes it, sometimes the really "diet" kinds are like wasa bread....

Thanks for the tip - I need to remember that for days when I am saving calories for a special dinner out, that would be one more way to cut some out.

I know, I'm down to the skim milk and 1/2 a packet of Splenda. This from a girl who USED to drink a giant mocha every morning. Then I switched to the cream and Splenda. I've come a long way, but I feel like if I could drink it black it would just save wasted calories. I just have to learn to like it that way.

My actual cardio time spent at the gym, and anything outside my typical day where I am breaking a sweat and breathing hard. Today, I spent 2 hours gardening. If I am just pulling stray weeds, I don't count it. Today, though, it was trimming and yanking and pulling and shoveling and I was sweating and exhausted so I counted…

P90X Legs and Back and a "wog" around the lake by my house today. I think I did some serious damage last weekend. The scale will show tomorrow. *Bites nails*

This is *PERFECT* for me right now. I am embarrassed to say, I ate so much Sunday night at a friend's, I had a hard time going to sleep because I felt sick. All I could think about was all the crap I ate. I am going to keep this line as an awesome mantra. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Good for you! These are awesome victories! :flowerforyou:

It is stereotyping to say that all skinny people are mean. I personally do not have a lot of weight to lose, but I have FOUGHT to maintain a healthy weight all of my adult life, so perhaps I have a better understanding of the struggle. I do, however, have friends who are thin who have said some shockingly mean things about…

Have you talked to a doctor? The only things I can think of are 1) Keegle (sp?) exercises and 2) medication for overactive bladder. You are too young for this! I have to go ALL the time, but still don't have this particular problem. You should not have to give up plyo and high intensity workouts at your age. Call a doc.…

I love this! I have noticed something about sticking to this healthy eating and exercise plan, though. It helps my self-esteem. Especially because if I *say* I'm going to do something, and I do it, I feel like I am a person of my word, a person of convictions who is capable of anything. So thank you for reminding me - I am…

Ditto! Keep it up! Some people might be jealous. And I know guys are funny about commenting because they're afraid things will be taken the wrong way. My hubby thinks things like weight loss and haircuts and new clothes are *scary* to comment on, because 1) it might come out the wrong way, 2) it might have taken him WAY…

I am having an excellent day, but I must empathize with you because Chest and Back is my *LEAST* favorite upper body P90X workout! Which probably means I need to work on it more.

Down 1.5 more pounds! This morning was Strength and Endurance Class. Downhill slide to the weekend and my son's graduation!

I just adjusted mine this morning to something more reasonable. I thought back to the last time I could put on clothes without worrying if things were bulging inappropriately and the last time I felt strong and fit and I can remember what I weighed then. SO, that is how I decided on my goal weight.

Yay! The more, the merrier!
-
Congratulations! You look awesome!

Tomorrow morning I don't have to be at work until 10:00 AM, so I get to go to the Strength & Endurance class at my gym. We alternate cardio and weights so you get everything done in an hour.

Oh, c'mon Shannon, wouldn't you really rather have a magical wine bottle that never emptied? Although, I guess the several billion would go a long way in keeping the wine flowing...

This morning was P90X shoulders & arms (the short version) and ab ripper X. This afternoon will be some form of cardio, depending on our *insert sarcasm* BEAUTIFUL weather. :grumble:

I get like that a couple of days before Aunt Flo shows up for her monthly visit. Try tracking when it happens so at least you are aware if there is a pattern and you can plan ahead. I don't keep ANY junk food in my house the week before my period.

I used to do Subway instead of McD's and pack them an apple w/peanut butter to eat in a plastic bowl on the way to the games. I started packing salads for myself because it is seriously hard to find time to exercise if you work full time and your kids play sports - ESPECIALLY baseball!!! Cheese sticks, pack a water bottle,…

Spinning class and stayed under my calories. Who says there's noting good about a Monday???
-
Yep! We met and went hiking and had a great time!

My kids have learned (the hard way) what annoys me: IF YOU OPEN THE DISHWASHER AND IT MAKE THAT "CLICK" NOISE THAT MEANS EVERYTHING IS CLEAN, YOU HAD SUUUURE BETTER EMPTY IT. Because if you don't, who do you *think* is going to empty it? The dishwasher fairy??? Oh, no, that's right, we don't have one so that means you…

I am actually at the point where I like my slow cooked oatmeal with NO sweetener. I use cinnamon, ground flaxseed (1 TBSP) and 1/4 cup blueberries or 1/4 a green apple. The fruit provides the sweetness. I have gotten so used to it, I don't like it any other way.

The machine at my gym overstates my calorie burn by AT LEAST 2 1/2 times. I have an HRM so I have compared. The elliptical is a Cybex, and I love everything else about it except that it lies.:grumble:

The things with abs is, abs really show when you have a low percentage of body fat. So, cardio and a clean diet are actually key to showing off ripped abs. HOWEVER, it is important to do your ab exercises and have a strong core. My gym has an "ab lab". We do everything from crunches to holding plank (excellent for abs!), V…

Happy Monday! Got my lunch packed and going to throw dinner in the crock pot so I can head to Spinning class tonight. This week will be hard because my son is graduating from high school  and I have relatives coming to stay, so I am going to be really focused the beginning of the week so I can cut myself a little…
