  • You know all of us game-changers are proud of you. Great job!
  • Following the P90X Lean program to a T. Macros are 50/30/20 Protein/Carbs/Fat. I set my calorie goal based on the formula (16*weight in lbs)-500. For women the multiplier is 12 (12*weight-500)
  • Thanks everyone for all the encouragement!
  • There is no quit in me, definitly going to stick with it.
  • I would look more to your nutrition. Sounds to me like you are running out of fuel. I work out intensely 6 days a week (P90X). I find if I play golf that day and also do P90X, I really struggle unless I have had a complex carbohydrate earlier in the day. Take a look at what you are eating. There is no reason you should not…
  • How many calories are you consuming? What is your BMR? How many calories are you burning during your 6 mile ride? If your calories in are less than your calories out, you will lose weight. If you are not, you are either: Consuming more calories than you think or not burning off as many as you believe. Get a HRM if you…
  • No that is not right. Does it have a chest strap? If so did you wet it before you started? If it is not wet enough, it won't work right. It needs the moisture to be able to detect the heart rate accurately. What brand/model is it?
  • Palo Verde I'll bet.

  • Check out our group if you just started P90X. It is a great group with lots of motivated people who are doing P90X or Insanity and post on here everyday. Check it out! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/5498-p90x-insanity-the-game-changers
  • I agree, the Klipsch S4 noise cancelling headphones are awesome. I have had mine for two years and work out everyday with them. Never had an issue. My wife and both kids have the same ones and no one has ever had an issue. The sound is absolutely fantastic. You can buy them for under $ 80 on the internet. Cut and paste the…
  • An amazing, amazing transformation. That takes extreme dedication and commitment. You are truly and inspiration!
  • I agree that is way too low. Should burn more than that sitting on the couch. Something is not set up right in your personal data settigns. Take another look at the manual.
  • I bought the Polar FT7. You can replace the batteries in both the watch and the transmitter yourself now (Not all polar models have this feature so do your research). I really like my FT7, cost around $70 online.

  • I agree, get a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) and create a custom exercise for each workout. Log what your HRM says. You should really have a HRM to make sure you are in the right zone and not overstressing your heart since P90X is so intense! Good luck.

  • I used to weigh every day. Now just once per week at the same time (Sunday as soon as I wake up) It takes out the daily fluctuations and gives you a better view of your weight loss. I still have the urge to hop on it every day though and have to fight that urge just like abstaining from unhealthy foods.
  • Welcome to the forums. You are right this is the place for inspiring, supportive people. Congrats on you weight loss so far. Sounds like you have made a lifestyle change, which is the only way this is sustainable.
  • Try PB2 in your shakes instead of peanut butter. It has 85% less fat calories. It is an all natural product made from peanuts. Search it on the web. I also agree the Body Fortress products taste good, have lots of protein and are cheap compared to other protein powders.

  • There is an app called privacy gallery 3D. It is free. It allows you to lock whichever your pictures you chose such that they do not show up in gallery at all and you'll never have to worry about a picture accidently getting shown to the wrong person! I use it to hide some very personal pics of my significant other:love:
  • Me too. 298 grams is my daily goal. I do have to have some powders to get there, but eat lots of other high protein natural items too!
  • Vero Beach
  • I agree with the previous poster. Fill out your profile and tell us about yourself and what your goals are. I like to friend like minded people to keep me motivated. A picture is also nice.
  • Wow, you should be so proud of yourself. It takes alot of will and determination to turn it around like that. I honestly had a tear well up in my eye as I read your story and looked at your transformation. You are truly an inspiration!
  • Fantastic self control. I too struggle a bit with diet cokes. Was drinking two or three every day. Haven't had one since I started P90X though (5 days now).
  • Congratulations, how exciting!
  • The program gives you a calorie deficit so you will lose weight. 3500 calorie deficit = 1 pound loss. SOOO. depending on what you set your goal as (1 pound per week loss or 1/2 pound loss per week) will determine what your calorie deficit is. 1/2 pound per week is 1750 calorie deficit, 1 pound is 3500 calorie deficit PER…
  • Nice results. You can tell you have worked hard at it.
  • Sounds interesting. How do I find/join the group? Edit, I found the group. I will be looking into it, thanks.
