Gout is caused my high uric acid levels. If you are low carbing with high fat this could be your culprit. Try 5:2. You can eat normally and still lose. I am down 43 pounds and the people on the 5:2 forums are very supportive.

Use your heart rate and personal metrics to determine. Calories Burned = [(Age x 0.074) -- (Weight x 0.05741) + (Heart Rate x 0.4472) -- 20.4022] x Time / 4.184. Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/221621-formula-for-calories-burned-during-exercise/#ixzz2TZE2nDu5

There are great bread recipes using almond flour and flax seed. You can find lots of alternatives but dont underestimate a lettuce wrap.

put good pico de gallo or salsa on it. Skip the dressing AND have a slice of pizza too.

Try alternating your calorie intake in a way that your net intake for the week hits your target. Worked for me and I am 5'7" and about to go under 150. 1400 one day, 1150 the next, 1500 the next day...etc.....eat your veggies, lay off starchy carbs so you expel the water and see what happens.

There are WAY more sources of protein out there. Plant based and animal protein. If you dont like eggs, find something else. But they are good.

Oh, and I am a licensed sports nutritionist so.....

I used to own a GNC, if it is not laced with andro then whey protein is perfectly fine for you. Look for whey protein that is 100%. No added ingredients. I think Designer Whey is really good and there used to be one on the market made by Universal Nutrition that was REALLY good.

Love my Fitbit One. Clip it to my bra or slip it in my pocket. Easy peasy

Everyone I have met in the 5:2 forums has been supportive and motivating. This has been the best journey of my life. Friend and follow my pals and you will get support. 5:2 works!!!!

5:2 works!! Watch the documentary based in science. I never believed it until I tried it myself and haven't felt this good in 20 years!!! 1 hour of well worth it. Eat, Fast and live longer. Horizons documentary by Michael Mosley. Even if you don't do intermittent calorie restriction you will learn a lot.

For most people it helps to reduce carbs because we eat the wrong ones. If you avoid all the white processed carbs and stick with the carbs from fruits and vegetables you will lower your carb intake and naturally increase water (necessary for hydration) and lower calories which will help you achieve your desired results.…

All I know is I am in and stuck. Cheaper to keep him for now. :-(

It is not that simple. Hunger can be defined as an impulse or desire to the untrained person. It takes time to change behaviors and mindsets. If you say that to some people it becomes a license to overeat and ultimate failure and despair. Practice practice practice and the good behaviors will outlast the bad ones.

I used to own a GNC store. I have looked at EVERY label there is. This is another quick fix that is all in your head!!

Great job!!

Cucumbers are the best!!

That is very interesting. My night binging is related to boredom and ADD. I have avoided sugar for years and know I can't eat bread. Because of retention not wheat. I love what your naturapath said though. As a nutritionist I am very interested in that perspective and medical doctors have no clue.

Healthy BMI is 135-158 at 5'7" (roughly) so you would be at the low end of a healthy weight. I am 5'7.5" and my goal is 143 but I can see shooting for 135 someday. I am 50 and I think as we age the lower weight is not too bad since we dont have to have kids. For those of you still in child bearing age you should shoot for…

I have noticed periods of the same thing. I have had to stop drinking on the weekends until I reach my goal and hopefully will not even bother unless a special occasion. Not easy to do but sometimes necessary. After losing a pound a week for months even with wine I have hit a wall. Hopefully being disciplined and abstain…

Shiratake noodles from White Yam are what you are looking for. There is a Tofu kind too. I dont like those as much. Rinse well and "dry fry" to eliminate all liquid. They are tasteless but will fill you up. They take on the flavor profile of what you mix with them. I am in the US so I can't tell you where to find them. I…

Alternate your calories and eat back the exercise. Look at the science behind the 5:2 diets or ADF.

I love to hike. As long as the weather cooperates, that is my favorite 400 calorie or more burn.

You really don't have the body for a thong.....by my husband!! What an idiot!!
-
Alternate a VLC day with a normal target day. Look at the 5:2 diet for some insight. It works and it does NOT cause starvation mode.
-
Crockpot, grill, microwave...all of them will work out with a nice variety. Steamed veggies in the microwave are better for you too!!
-
Sugar free dark chocolate, LF Ricotta with splenda and vanilla, Atkins carmel nut bar....cut into quarters and in the freezer for a little treat.

That's a healthy attitude but i am sure you can hit 155. Try changing something in your routine and remember to adjust TDEE as you lose weight. You look terrific. I am sure you feel awesome too!!

I can't say I discovered them because I never had them but my overall success in weight loss has been partially to do with incorporating them into my regular routine. Cucumbers and Shrimp! Both Low Cal, both great to have handy.
