  • No shred for me today! I read on here that Jillian suggests you do it 5 times a week with two days off (not consecutive) so today will be my first off day. Woke up with really bad lower back pain. I know I have a herniated disc at L5 S1 that was found back in 2005. With antiflamitory medication that I take once a week it…
  • My HRM says I only burn around 150 in the 30 minutes of the shred.
  • You have to go back into ticker factory and change it to 2 completed. It will then update the ticker. There will be a pin that you would have used to set it up. I did two days last week just testing it out and even my butt cheeks hurt after it! haha But it does start to feel better.
  • Well I live in England (but am from Illinois and used to live in Texas before moving over here). Normally it's nice and cool so it is not so bad but today it got to 75 and I thought I was going to die. I know you guys will laugh at that but for some reason 75 over here feels like 100 in Texas... I don't know what it is but…
  • I'll do you one better. Every Friday is 'cake day' at work and they buy tons of sugary junk food for everybody. I of course pass on Friday's and find it no big deal cause I always take healthy snacks to munch on while they gorge on junk. Anyway I have a co-worker that will always come to me to laugh about the amount of…
  • L1D2 completed for me! I did Day 1 last night at around 10pm and then walked 3 miles. Then today I did Day 2 and walked another 3 miles at around Noon. I am exhausted!! I think tomorrow I'll just do the shred and leave the walking for another day. I just hate that I sweat my butt off and I push myself and I'm only burning…
  • What a great explanation! :flowerforyou:
  • Just got mine today and plan on updating it every Sunday which is my weigh in day.
  • Finished Level 1 Day 1! I am still alive so that is a good sign. This was also my first workout with my new HRM (Polar RS200) and I can not gush enough about how much I  it! I burned 150 calories during the shred, doesn't seem like a lot but I was in fact covered in sweat after! After the Shred I walked on…
  • You will need a mat if you will be doing it on a hard floor as there are parts where you need to be on the ground. It also uses hand weights. I am way out of shape and only use about 2 lbs in each hand but it is whatever you are comfortable with. I have done two days last week but I am starting over today so that I can go…
  • I think dumbbells would be too heavy for your luggage and end up costing you a fortune. Just remembered also that if you will be making some of your own meals... not sure if you have a phone or iTouch that can use apps? But a good thing to have a way to convert things such a ounces/grams, etc.. The US and Europe do not use…
  • I am American but live in England (since Oct '08) and yes Europe does have different region coding on DVD's but if you are taking a laptop you should be able to watch it through that with no problem. There are some DVD players that are region free and can play any as well as PS3's but not sure if you are going to be…
  • SOOOO excited to get started tomorrow! I have a new heart rate monitor that is on it's way to me [hopefully here tomorrow]. Will wait until after the 2nd post arrives to see if I get it. If not I am still going to start tomorrow anyway and just put in a guesstimate of what my calorie burn will be.
  • I am also starting it tomorrow [June 21st] to be part of the group on here that will work together to complete it. I have done two days from Level 1 last week. The first 30 minutes I did on Monday. I was knackered after it was over but then went on to walk 4 miles on treadmill after a short rest. I thought 'this isn't so…
  • I have one ordered and it should be hear early next week.. can not wait! Mine is a Polar RS200 http://www.amazon.com/Polar-RS200-Heart-Monitor-Watch/dp/B000H287NI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1276982480&sr=8-1 In my research before I bought mine I can agree that you need one with a strap they are far more accurate.…
  • Here is a link to their Nutritional info: http://www.dennys.com/LiveImages/enProductImage_790.pdf But I don't see that one listed. I do believe that all US Restaurants must be able to produce this information upon request. You could always call them? That link may be outdated if this is a new product.
  • Could not have said it better myself!
  • There is one here: http://www.tickerclub.com/ It will give you a board code that you can use to put here.. in your signature.
  • Yes hand weights are required for sections. Really whatever you are comfortable with. She uses them to combine with things such as squats, so that you are working smaller muscles along with larger muscles. I am not in shape at all and use 1kg each which is just over 2lbs each.
  • I update mine every Sunday after I weigh In. Have weighed in 3 times and it has changed each time. Only by around 10-15 calories each time but still if I would have waited then it would have been a much bigger change and I would have been eating those calories when really I should have had less.
  • Congrats!! I had actually forgot that we had a Wii! lol We never ever use it but I have now moved it into the dining room. This is where I have my treadmill and TV with DVD set up and is where I have been doing all of my workouts. I will now be able to throw a little bit of Wii Fit in there! YAY!
  • I face this challenge every Friday. Management brings in chips, cakes and goodies but no fresh fruit or anything healthy. My biggest erk with the situation is that there is a girl at work that will all day long continue to try to push food toward me. And when I say I don't want any she just goes on and on about how she…
  • I'm in! I have done two days but took a few days off in between cause I was sore and I wanted to wait on my knee brace to arrive. Well it's here now and I am willing to start at day one on the 21st!
  • Hi.. Welcome! :flowerforyou: I am in England, near Bolton/Manchester. Have been on MFP for about 3 or so weeks, it's going great! Glad to have you here also! Christine
  • I don't have a HRM yet (it is ordered but wont be here until early/mid next week) but in my research I have seen people say this. The best suggestion that seems to always work is to give it a good wash as the connectors may not be getting a good connection. Does the manual say anything about that?
  • I also have a dodgy right knee.. I've never had surgery or anything on it but it has always popped and made weird noises when I squat down. I started C25K a few weeks ago and only got to Week 1 Day 3 and had to call it quits. My right knee was is so much pain and I had to lay off the treadmill for 3 days. I've decided to…
  • Oh I hope there is nothing wrong with mine.. would be a pain in the butt to have to ship it back to them in the US. :grumble:
  • I ordered a Polar RS200 and am just waiting on it to be delivered. I live in England but Ihad some Amazon.com gift certificates to use so I bought it there and am having it delivered to my mom in the States. It's scheduled for today and then she will rebox it and then ship it over to me. Should get it early next week…
  • My starting weight was 247, current weight is 237 (after just over 3 weeks) and my goal is 159. That is the tip top of the healthy range for my height. Once I hit that I will set a new goal but I just want to get myself to healthy weight first.
  • Congrats!!! :flowerforyou:
