I went to the chiropractor for the first time in my life. The xrays clearly identified the issue. He was able to correct my problem with one adjustment. I'm going back Thursday to have him check on it again. The lesson here is to lift what you can manage and increase over time. Don't try to jump in and overdo right away.…

I overdid it Wednedsay. My right knee hurt a little Thursday but nothing like my left shoulder. I'm laying low until Monday.

This too shall pass - and more quickly than you expect. Hang in there. Be sure to drink plenty of water. That was really helpful to me when I stopped drinking caffeine.

Welcome! This is your first day...it will be interesting to see if you're over that much every single day or if today was 'special'. If you're over in sugar day after day you might want to consider alternatives to your coffee drink(s).

Goals for this week: Lift 3X, swim once, bike once No more junk for the week (had 5 cookies today). Track protein and calories for the remainder of the week also.

Only wear the HRM when you're exercising (or when you want to track your heart rate). I've used my vivofit for a couple of months and have found the calorie burn to be fairly accurate. Hope you enjoy using yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!

I encourge others.

I'd like to join your next challenge, please. I did NROL4W several years ago and think a challenge will help to keep me on track.

apples, yogurt, celery dipped in humus, boiled eggs, cottage cheese, fresh veggies

Try putting a layer of plastic wrap or aluminum foil directly on the food as a barrier to air. Also, be sure to use what you've frozen in a timely manner.

Agree with the water. Drink a big glass of water as soon as you wake each morning. Helps to start the day out right.

It's hard not to give in once in a while. You could always split a cookie with someone. Also, if it's at all possible, go for a quick walk before you eat. Maybe you'll get lucky and the cookies will be gone when you get back.

Fantastic! Happy anniversary.

It looks like you took your own advice...from your t-shirt. You look amazing.

Congratulation! You're doing awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Very encouraging. Thanks for sharing.

That's a lot of wisdom for a younger lady. Congratulations, too, on being a motivator for your friends.

I know that I feel better when I eat better. That's my primary motivation when traveling. If I eat too much junk food I pay for it pretty quickly (especially if I'm not able to be active). If I'm gone multiple days I stop at the grocery store along the way and pick up cut up veggies, etc.

I love to workout in the morning. I have a glass of water and a banana before I leave for the gym which is twenty minutes away.
-
Glad to hear you're blowing your mind in such a good way.
-
Congratulations! You're on the right track and you look great.
-
If you don't feel comfortable using gym equipment you can always start with lunges, squats, pushups, and planks.

I use a community pool at our high school. The membership fee is $40/year so it can't be beat. My day goes so much better when I start it with swimming - even if it's only a few minutes.

I've never heard of this guy...hilarious!

Love it! The best compliment is the one that is not necessarily intended as one. Kudos to you on your progress.
-
What a fabulous surprise. Congratulations.
-
Very helpful. Thanks.

I used Beginner Triathlete.com ( http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/ ) to train for my triathlon. I was strictly a participant. It's not too late to train for a sprint this year. You can get your feet wet this year and set a goal for next year.

Completed the month of May with 135 miles.

I haven't had any in a while. I'll need to pick some up soon.
