If you eat less than your BMR you will lose weight w/o exercise but working out, even a walk for 30 minutes, allows you to eat more (which I love since I love food). If you want to change your shape and not just get smaller you will need to do some sort of activity.

Well it happens sometimes in just one week on the show Biggest Loser so it's entirely possible if she started out very large and over ate a lot before starting this challenge.

I watch Food Network religiously and with that I've found that actually being able to see someone execute recipes has made my cooking 10 times better. You can see what an ingredient is and get familiar with what sort of things go well with it. I follow some food blogs as well like The Urban Eater, and Ezra Poundcake which…

Gaining muscle will actually facilitate fat loss and help you burn more calories over time as well as increase metabolism. I don't understand why people think you have to do one before the other but it is something I see a lot here and is a misconception. But to answer your question, yes rowing will help in fat/weight loss…

Yep, and it's great for the arms, shoulders and back. I love it!

The one here is super low apparently. I go over daily just by eating one piece of fruit so I deleted it from my settings.

The chart I just looked at said a .8 waist to hip ratio is low risk. Are you sure you are reading your charts/calculations right? http://www.bmi-calculator.net/waist-to-hip-ratio-calculator/waist-to-hip-ratio-chart.php

It's likely. I always weigh a little more right before mine starts. The good news is you burn more calories during this time so workouts are that much more effective, or so I've been told lol.

While true you will lose weight its not a great idea. Eating "bad" food all of the time will mean you eat a lot less and thus have a tendency to binge at the end of the day or overeat throughout. Filling up on fiberous foods (especially veggies) will mean you can eat a lot more food while maintaining a lower caloric…

Btw there are very few things at Dollar Stores that are actually 1 actual dollar. I think these days they are just stores that dont list cents lol.

Oops almost forgot to finish until I saw this thread again! 300 down :)

Don't worry about where its from just look at the ingredients. A lot of people don't realize that many over the counter medicines are made in the same factories with very similar ingredients but are simply packaged differently. Chances are you are getting the same if not a very similar and equally effective alternative.

Interesting. Most o knew as well. I really wanted to seewhat they said about eggs. They get such a bad rep but they really are a complete protein with the yolks and a great food source. Egg whites are fine but you won't get the protein punch without the yolk.

I should try this. My scrawny legs are going to kick me for it later lol.

Well in that case congrats :)

What is NSV?... Alll of these abbreviations are confusing! lol

I made this for lunch with the Quinoa I bought. Added diced grilled chicken breasts, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, some dried herbs and cayenne pepper. Turned out really yummy :)

Don't worry. Your body will bounce back quicker than you think. A little rest is okay :)

Lighter than they would use but they should still be heavy to you lol. You should feel the burn and want to give up around the 8th rep of a 10 rep set. If you don't, the weight is too light. You can also start off w/ no weight and just do the strength moves until you build up some muscle. Edit: Here are some good beginner…

Strength/weight training is lifting weights or using your own body weight to build strength. You won't get bulky unless you want to and that won't come until much later and lifting heavy weights. Building muscle is going to boost your metabolism and allow you to burn more calories throughout the day. A lot of people seem…

You could start off walking or do the other things to build up stamina. I hate running w/ a passion but it's the one thing I know for sure works for me. I also find that resistance and weight training REALLY helps me lose weight faster than just cardio alone. You can look at my food diary to see what kinds of things I eat…

800 a day seems pretty high to me lol. But, some cardio I like to do is running (It's the best for burning calories fast), biking and swimming. My favorite to actually do is the rowing machine but I don't have access to one at the moment.

I didn't even notice that search feature lol. I'm pretty new to this site, haha. I like to hear from people who can tell me their experiences w/ food though. Google is great but real people are better as far as being able to describe the flavors, answering questions etc.

The more muscle you build and fat you lose the less your cellulite will appear. There's no real "cure" however besides cosmetic ones.
-
I'd love to know this as well. I just bought some and need ideas :)

I'm working gout 6 out of 7 days for a month long challenge right now, but when I'm out of this competitive mode I'm going back to having 2-3 rest days a week. It's important to lgive your body a break so taking weekends off (while still walking the dog and running errands) will be perfect.

Have a taco or a slice of pizza (make sure to get ones with tons of veggies) and then for snacking have a veggie platter or two, veggie chips (or make your own), along with the typical stuff you would normally get. Btw, popcorn (unsalted/unbuttered) is also really good and you can spice it up any way you want. Good luck.…

Haha it's the best way!

It really all depends on your body and what works best for you but it's advised to eat at least and hour or two before you work out (don't right before). I usually get hungry after working out so to prevent over eating I like to eat my lunches after a workout. try it both ways for a week each and see what you like best.

Lol really? My boobs don't budge either when I lose weight but theyve never gotten bigger! For the original poster do you have a good sports bra? I can never find good ones so I double bag em with two instead.
