Since it is Planet Fitness and their mantra is No intimidation. Tell the manager. I would suggest telling the manager that it has happened anyway, even if is not current. I would bet they would like to know that because that person is probably doing that to others.

I actually look at calories but I dont fret about them, I normally count carbs. Not just net carbs or sugar carbs, but all carbs. I try to keep them below 150 grams per day but if I go to 180 grams its okay. There were a few occassions in which I really went over (like never ending pasta bowl). If I keep the carbs in check…

I have fallen off of a treadmill. Nothing broken, but elbow is still sore and that was 3 months ago. I wouldnt recommend anything that could increase the liklihood of a fall.

Dont know if it would help at your gym, but tell the management about it and make sure that you include the work "feeling like you are being bullied as a result" or "making it a hostile place to be". And Im not making it up, but they are bullying you and making it hostile.

your story is so close to mine. I had to do something. Diet and exercise. I log everything that I eat and I use a fitbit to log my steps. I try (and almost always do it) keep my carbs under 150. feel free to look at my data. If there is any way that I can help you, let me know. i started exercise slowly. maybe 25 feet one…

Are you recording your water?

what I would suggest (and it is just a suggestion) is to limit your carbohydrates to no more than 180 per day (I try to limit mine to 150). If you limit your carbs, then the calories will be lower -- the problem I had was getting a minimum of 1200 calories to which Ill eat a broiled chicken breast or a couple hard boiled…

Its your wedding. I vote no. If it gets pushed real hard -- say screw the whole thing and go to Vegas (or wherever) -- or at least threaten to. If you dont care for someone, why invite them to YOUR day?

I went years in the same boat. I did get diabetes. It is either lose weight or use a needle a few times a day forever. So I took action. Ive tried about every diet imaginable. Ill lose and then gain it back. I had to realize that I needed to change my lifestyle. I now count my calories and carbs (especially the carbs). I…

Gold Bond has a wonderful friction stick that will at least minimize that effect. At least from my experience

Dont record any. Even though there was some asorption, you need to focus on getting better rather than weight loss. Just get back on track when you feel better.

I have a membership that includes a guest. I was offering to take my wife (because I spend a lot of time there -- and that way we would at least be together). I finally got told "Are you trying to tell me that I need to go to the gym?" Noooooooo. But she doesnt mind either when I go.

Thats where I go. Cheaper than a treadmill. Ours have a friendly staff
-
You look wonderful.

I agree. I use eggs to increase my calories without increasing my carbs when I'm below 1200 calories. That and chicken breast. Your allies.

I do not usually eat back calories. It is there if I need it, but I usually dont. As an important note, I am diabetic. I think when I get in maintenance then I may, but not while losing. As long as I am over 1200 calories (before exercise), then I'm good. In my case, I count carbs and dont really worry as much about the…

I guess Im fortunate. I dont normally drink alcohol. I did have a beer last November. Since I count carbs, Id have to see what each was before drinking it. From what I understand, hard liquor has fewer carbs that something like beer.

2 chicken breasts (broiled - boneless skinless) or 2 hard boiled eggs or a combination of both.

A calorie is a calorie in my opinion. 3500 calories = 1 pound. over time if you consume 3500 less or burn 3500 more or a combination then all things being equal you should lose a pound. In my case, if I eat after 7 is is usually something yummy anyway like cookies or cake and I probably shouldnt have it anyway. Personally,…

Stress causes me to eat more. Some folks have the opposite effect. Guess it depends on the person.

I am diabetic so I count carbs real closely (except the last 4 weeks in which I was naughty). I count a carb as a carb. Sugar, fiber in my mind its still a carb. Had a little problem when they go too low (with my bowels). However, nbow I eat a protein granola bar for afternoon snack. That seems to help. I attempt to keep…

My right foot touched my left leg and knocked me off balance.

Well, in my situation I really didnt care. Doctor has been on my behind for years to lose weight. BAH. Diet. Exercise. Bad Bad words. Even sent me to a cardiologist. Heart perfect. Cholesterol perfect. Ha ha ha. Doc - you lose. Pizza time...... Then I got diagnosed with diabetes (truly) and I had to change my attitude. It…

I go to bed at 11 and wake up at 5:30. I try to work out twice a day -- noon and 7:30.

I think that everyone has a different opinion on supplements. About all I do is Powerade Zero or Vitamin Water Zero, Since Im diabetic I watch carbs very closely. I tend to stay away from supplements and just try to eat healthier.
-
yep. nothing broken except my pride. deep brusing in my back muscles and elbow. So, I think I will probably go at a slower pace for a shorter time just to stimulate those muscles but nothing like the 5 or 6 miles that I had been walking.
-
Just dont eat it. That's what I do. I attend the parties - that usually have cake. I just avoid it. I'll sit there for the socialization, just none of the food that I consider poison. -Guy-

If it was me -- I would call and ask my physician

On weight loss, timing doesnt matter. Because of insulin and sugar, I eat at about the same time every day. So, breakfast is about 7:30. But that isnt for weightloss.

Right now, I am only doing cardio -- treadmill. I usually walk between 3 and 6 miles a day (might be 3 sets of 2 miles at different times). In probably 40 or 50 more pounds Ill start adding in light resistance training and then work from there.
