Ladies & gents, my thighs have gone through three yoga pants in a month! This is all due to major chaffing on the treadmill. Is there any other cardio to curb this chubrub? I'm getting tired of Hulking out on the treadmill?!

Hi
I hate chubrub - it hurts so much!
If you're just looking for cardio, maybe try cycling, skipping or rowing.
But jumping jacks and burpees are a killer too0 -
I love the elliptical and do intervals so it's more of a challenge. Hope you find something that works for you!0

Get super short shorts? Rub vaseline between your legs? Just thinking out loud you hear!0

Vaseline, everyone's favourite lube.
Everyone has a favourite lube right?0 -
ELLIPTICAL!
And use anti chafe balm as used by cyclists... and shiny fabrics so they glide over each other... try some compression wear underneath too as it will make your legs a little slimmer by redistributing so called chub! So there should be less pressure on the rub!0 -
If you have a Target where you live, their Champion workout clothing line has a great workout short that is a compression short on bottom and short short on top combined into one. Haven't had any cub rub issues since I started wearing them!0

I was going to say shorts and aquaphor!0 -
Get some compression underwear for your workouts. Before putting them on, apply baby powder or corn starch to the area that will be getting wet and rubbing. Be sure to remove the shorts after your workout so the extra wetness doesn't cause irritation.0

Thanks all! I shall try the various exercises suggested and invest in a compression garment!0

I either wear shorts and apply heel lube (basically vaseline with some extra stuff), or I wear pants with synthetic materials - the kind meant for cooling. They hold up far better than cotton. They can be more expensive, but I got two really nice pairs of pants at Ross.
I'm late to the thread, but hope I helped!0 -
I started getting runner's rash (chub rub & sweat & higher speed friction). It cleared up instantly with some baby diaper/nappy rash cream. Super cheap, super easy, and super soothing0

A little chub rub always help me sleep0

How much chub would a chubby rubber rub if rub a chub is what a chubby rubber rubbed?0

Spanks or dutch tape would help you out.
Actually I get chubrub too. I can't wear boxers when I run. Just compression underwear, or boxer briefs even help a lot!
Make sure that rascal is in good and tight for the ride and you should stop most of the rubbing.0 -
body glide...
or change cardio exercises. LOL running sucks as it is- being miserable while you do it?
no way.0 -
Tighty whiteys. The boys need to be corralled.0

Gold Bond has a wonderful friction stick that will at least minimize that effect. At least from my experience0

Get some body glide or run in running shorts?0

^^^^^^^^ Stuff works amazing.0 -
I thought this was about something else. I would recommend not wearing yoga pants, and losing more weight.0

Speaking of treadmills, can anyone recommend a good one? We want to spend around $300.00 and usually do our shopping at Wal-Mart. Pretty much all they have to offer is Weslaco or Gold's Gym treadmills. I've read reviews for both and there are good and bad reviews so not much help really. Any advice? thanks in advance! Kate0
