Hi hunny! Welcome to MFP  We have similar stats and goals so I'd be happy to have you as a friend - feel free to friend request me if you like! As for tips - if you're going to use this site, throw yourself in wholeheartedly - log everything, good and bad, so you can see what patterns emerge. No one expects anyone…

I'm 5ft3.5 so close enough! I was 183lbs when I started and wearing a UK size 16, some 18 tops to fit around my boobs. I'm now 154lbs and a definite size 12, some big 10's fit nice, some small 14's are nice and comfy.

Often I find that when I look into it, the people losing a lot more each week are starting at a much higher starting weight than me. Yes it sucks when you still be really good and the scale barely shifts, and everyone else seems to be losing a stone a week, but as Kirsty_UK says, take measurements and see what's changing.…

I bought mine from Tesco's in the sale (though it's gone back up a little now, but I'd still pay 19.99) http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-3529.aspx Personally I've found it to be great. Don't think it's suitable for swimming but it seems to do everything else!

Fab difference hun, you should be really pleased with yourself... In fact I think that's inspired me to actually get off my bum and restart it myself! x

Interesting to see. As someone said, she's all tensed up etc right now and I'd bet she'd look a lot nicer without so much tension on the skin. Still personally I'd rather have higher bodyfat and some natural boobs
-
What HonkyTonks said... This used to confuse me too and I used to think I should be eating less but I have found that the closer to goal I get the more cals I do actually need to eat to lose (odd as it sounds). From what I've read, a lot of people agree with the idea x

Being told by my plumber that he doubted the conservatory roof would hold his weight, despite it holding mine lol. And he wasn't even overweight ;) (After spending the last 2 yrs weighing more than my OH, I was pleased to hear that lol!)
-
Thanks to everyone for sharing! Hopefully I'm only a month or two away from my goal weight, looking forward to sharing my own pics! You all look amazing, and I'm very impressed with the bellies! x
-
I have the WeightWatchers digital scale, love it. Says exactly the same no matter how many times I stand on it during one weighing session lol..
-
Sounds normal as you're just starting out. I was 183lbs and dropped about 10lbs in my first month as it was a big shock to change my diet. Enjoy, trust me it gets harder!

i like I can't believe it's not butter - Light. Half the fat of the full fat version and still tastes good x

Interesting will be trying this out! Thanks!

Virgo, just... I was born 3 hrs after the sun moved from Leo to Virgo... actually spent the first half of my life thinking I was a Leo lol, then a decent astrologer pointed out I wasn't and suddenly I'm more Virgo in character too...

Your food seems pretty good to me, but I can't see much exercise being logged. If you're not logging it, then do and reassess what's going wrong. If you're not doing that much, then now is probably time to start (or increase) what you're doing. Often the first bit of weight will come off fairly easy as your body adapts to…

Yep you have to log everything - how else will you know exactly what you're putting in your body? MFP is fab but you must be as accurate as possible for it to work.
-
This ^^^. I tend to enjoy some treats and then burn them off on my bike in the evening.
-
Have you tried low cal squash or herbal teas? You can get some amazing flavours for practically no cals, and have them hot or cold. I try to mix up what I'm drinking so I don't get bored. I don't mind tap water but even I struggle without a dash of squash lol!
-
If you're logging your exercise, are you eating your extra calories? You may be eating less than you realise (look at your Net Calorie figure on your homepage which should be no less than 1200 according to MFP guidelines).
-
Well done, you can really see the difference! :flowerforyou:
-
:flowerforyou: I agree with the previous advice - you need to eat more! If you are logging your exercise accurately then you will see your calorie goal for the day go up - MFP does that because it wants you to eat those calories back to maintain the same overall deficit in order to lose a healthy amount each week. Think of…

 2322.2 + 25lbs = 2347.2 lbs Edit to include previous poster's weight 2347.2 + 11 = 2358.2

 LOVE LOVE LOVE this film! Definitely a big DB fan in this film... Like a previous poster said though, always think I kind of wanted to be Sarah! Love every single scene, every character, watching every challenge she went through... Spent a considerable time trying to roll plastic balls up and down my arms like…
