  • I feel the same way. I've got a good amount of loose skin around my gut and moobs. I hear drinking lots of water helps (as if it wouldn't hurt). For exercise, I've read that, while you can't necessarily target skin retention, pushups, crunches, and planks are helpful in strengthening your core and working the muscles there…

  • Drinking lots of water helps me. Also, I chew gum often between meals/snacks. It keeps your mouth busy and you still get to fulfill any taste cravings.
  • Buying a food scale was one of the best decisions I made. I use it for everything - meats, vegetables, snacks, etc. It's a ton easier than having to pull out exactly 28 pieces of something when I can just pour it in a bowl and watch the scale. It makes adding the things I eat to MFP much easier. I like being able to count…
  • I find it best that, at the end of the day when I'm looking for a snack, I'll check my macros (fat/protein/carbs) and find a snack that fills what I'm lacking. If I have a good amount of fat left, I'll grab some mixed nuts. If I see that I have plenty of carbs left, I'll eat some fruit or some pretzels. I wouldn't stress…
  • Before a workout (30-60 minutes before) I'll eat a half peanut butter sandwich or some mixed nuts & oatmeal. Afterwards I'll usually have an apple or some yogurt.
  • I'd have to say about 98% of all my logged days here on MFP have been well below (400-500+ cals) below my BMR, and I rarely eat back all of my exercise calories. I understand the whole "eat more, lose more" argument, but I've never had a problem losing while eating below my BMR. If you'd like, try eating more for a couple…

  • Drinking water and chewing gum usually help me get over a craving. However, if you have the calories left for the day, maybe just take half the cookie. If you don't take anything, like you said, the craving hits later and you end up taking the whole thing. Portion is huge part of losing, so saying "Yeah, half this cookie…
  • I feel like my elliptical OVER estimates my cals burned. Usually, the MFP number is 100-150 cals lower than what the machine says. Unfortunately, my machine does not take height/weight/age, so it's probably not as precise.
  • I will definitely consider switching it up and trying some new things, but making sure to keep within my goals. The eggs sound good, but I have a bad history with high cholesterol. Though, if I portion it right, I think it can be a very tasty and healthy alternative. Thanks for the advice everyone!
  • Someone brought in a tray of Oreo's and a tray of assorted fruits to work (Strange combo right?). So I grabbed a few orange slices and a handful of grapes and sat as far away as I could from those darn cookies. They're gone now, and I was able to resist!
