Doubt it... I eat one every day and my belly is not fat nor fluffy

Sorry, double post !

Why? She's not looking to eat meat nor interested... Drives me nuts when meat eaters 'impose' on vegetarians. She was simply looking for ideas on eating more protein. I don't eat meat simply for the same reasons as the OP. Makes me want to vomit. So let's get back to her original question: more protein ideas: - Whole eggs…

Lmao!

Well said. I second this!

Capoeira (mixed cardio-stretch-strength all in one workout): Monday (90 minutes) Wednesday (120 minutes) Saturday (70 minutes) Monday to Friday: climbing 5 floors of stairs, at a minimum of two times a day as I refuse to use the elevator at work. Unless I have to carry a big box or many bags. Then I take the lift ;-) Oh…

This is great :-) I am pescetarian looking to transition in the near future. Thank you for all these great suggestions...

Sorry, double post... urgh...

It may not be about water. As I mentioned in my previous post, I drink lots (and even more during work-outs) but it doesn't change a thing whether I drink more or not. My body is just made that way.

I drink tons of water and just like you, I rarely break out a sweat... OK, perhaps after 90 minutes of hard core capoeira on a hot summer day ( and that would be a little in the back and chest area) but by then, I can see through everyone's t-shirts they're so soaked! LOL... I've spoken to my doctor about it and there's…

I never saw it that way... You are 100% correct!
-
Howl out loud... that was funny! But you're right, I've yet to find it... What would we log it under anyways? perhaps I should start a new thread?! LOL

LOVE my java in the a.m. I was brought up with a European father and the coffee at home was sacred. Really, it was. So it is a very important part of my life ;-) We use Lavazza Crema e Gusto or grind our own from Brûlerie St-Denis simply because we do not have much choice out where we live. We have to good old fashion…

A calorie burnt is a calorie burnt. Do you log sex :blushing: ? Hey, at the end of the day, it all adds up!

LMAO....So TRUE! Drives me crazy... Keep it simple. Eat well, move lots. To each his own. At the end of the day, it's how you feel. But that's just too simple. How could it work right? I get it all the time... since I train mostly through capoeira, I'm constantly asked/told as to how a 'dance' could really get me fit.…

Definitely with my hubby! We play capoeira together; well with a group class, 2 times a week (sometimes 3) and it is great because we then get to share thoughts and practice what we've learned for an extra work-out session one on one during the week. We both LOVE the sport so it's like sharing your passion with someone…

1 serving (tble spoon) of Hellman's light mayo ( 35 calories) with coriander (cilantro), chives and Valentina hot sauce! Yum Yum!

That's hilarious! I do the same: Getting to the office: 2 variations of going up the 5 flights of stairs: one with no arms and one with arms (pulling to add resistence)...Some days I do variation with arms and others without. - 1st visit to the ladies room: 15-20 squats (always depends on whether someone comes in or not!…

^^This!

Great suggestion... Will do because even after almost 2 years of intense capoeira training, 3 times a week, I ache for days!! I stretch, I take a warm bath but alas, I walk and move like Mr. Roboto 48 hours after my training session. Granted, I am 40 after all by that's just a lame excuse...

I don't impose my political, sports, religious nor eating view on anyone, so I expect the same for others. When offered a burger, and I say that I do not eat meat, I generally get the following answer: ''OMG! You don't eat meat? How do you get your protein? Did you know that.........? You can't survive on only vegetables?…
-
Thanks for this! And for answering the OP's question... and not getting in their face about what you think is right or wrong.
-
^^^This! I'm also new at lifting and this is great advice...Thanks a bunch!
-
Thanks for putting it simple! I always wondered but was never too sure...

Exactly! I'm pescetarian, hubby isn't but eats it maybe once a week. We average 150$ a week for the two of us, and most of what we eat is either: make it yourself from scratch or organic (75%). I'm not looking for stuff out of a can (I'd rather use a little olive oil and cut in my calories somewhere else) or out of a box…

Exactly... and the salt!! Urgh, some have up to 2800 mg of sodium per portion... Even sandwiches. You have to be very aware of what you order. Pita Express has low cal and low sodium...

I think it's different for everyone. I do not drink 8 glasses of water a day and feel just fine. My body is hydrated, it doesn't hold-on to water and my urine is usually the color of pale yellow... I drink when I'm thristy really. And I've always been like that. I drink anywhere from 3 to 6 glasses alond with 1 to 2 cups…

Well, start by sucking everything in, hold your breath, bend you knees a little, hands on the hips with elbows pointing to the back, stick your butt out, angle ever so slightly to the right side and VOILÀ! You'll be an instant Jason Stathom or Olivia Munn in your birthday suit! Dont't forget to smile... You always look…
-
^^That! I drink all three: Organic cow's milk in coffee, soy or almond, depending on my mood. I find soy helps me 'deal' with TOM issues such as irritability, cramps and bloating as of almond milk, well, I drink it when I feel like having something decadent! LOL
-
Yep... I also lost one cup size but hey, at least, when I'll be 70, they'll still be perky and natural :-) To each his own though. If you're more comfortable 'buying' them, then all the power to you! The fact that I am in the best physical shape of my life, and look great at 40 is what I really want people to notice!
