  • I am trying AGAIN to get back on track and stay focused. I have about 50 pounds to lose and have gone up and down by 3-5 pounds over the last couple of months. Not sure about your diet, but I know that when I'm not watching salt I can go up by a few pounds very quick & easy. For me, I love carbs but they don't love me. I…
  • Congratulations on all your success and the new baby ! Huge difference in your pics, and you definitely look way younger !!!
  • Great News ! You are very brave and courageous for sharing your story ! Cancer is scary but as others have posted,....it is not always a death sentence, so for that reason alone, your story is much appreciated ! You have given hope to a countless number of people I'm sure ! God Bless
  • I've had several, started the weight loss journey many times,....but most recently it's been pictures and the changing season from Summer to fall. Nothing like pulling out your warm sweaters and coats to discover they do not fit ! I've purchased a few items out of necessity but refuse to invest in a whole new wardrobe.…
  • 16 days with a 10 pound loss. True about the water weight, but that success was so great for her she stuck with it and lost more,...not sure on total but probably about 30 pounds. I should point out that she used MR's every day for 2 weeks then only occasionally if she was on the go.
  • Thanks,....convenience is the key word here. I wouldn't rely on them indefinitely as I love cooking and know how to eat healthy. I know my weakness is eating poor choices when I haven't prepared lunch for example So,..... They may be a great option,
  • No magic bullets I know I know,....just wanted a plan to offset time constraints for a couple weeks. I do believe the first real loss or taste of weight loss success helps to motivate!!!! I read it here all the time
  • Great excercise. Once you build up endurance you can play around with intervals where you walk faster or at a higher incline for 1-2 minutes then back down to regular pace and repeat. This burns more calories. Good luck !
  • Great advice, in fact that's what I have been doing,.... Weekends for me without the plan in place have derailed me! I wanted to try MR's for a couple weeks knowing that I will have little ime or meal prep, and having snacks that will provide protein, Cottage cheese Cheese strings Almonds Yogurt I know they get a bad rap,…
  • If you are truly changing your lifestyle....aka eating healthy then there is no need a meal of something here and there that you love but that is higher than most in calories is fine. It should work into your macros for the week. A whole day has undone my progress for the week so I don't do it anymore....lesson learned!!
  • I agree with the previous posters. And yes MFP has a huge amount of people that swear by the three meals a day plus snacks approach. Ideally maybe but our lifestyles and schedules all differ. The calorie deficit is most important for loss. Besides I have eaten because it was time too but was not even hungry,......that just…
  • Hi Laurie, I'm back again as well. Just turned 44 and had a light go off last week. I am really seeing how my diet and lifestyle impact every part of my life,....so like you I have a newfound commitment to this weight loss journey. I have about 30 pounds to lose and I have discovered once you hit 40 it's really about diet…

  • Me Too ! Obviously the big pay off for my wallet and my waist is not eating Fast Food ! Sometimes fresh produce can be expensive, but I am finding that buying what's on sale and having a menu planned ( and sticking to it) really helps me make meals that will be enough for lunch the next day too !
  • Very inspiring! How amazing to think back in January when everyone was making resolutions to lose weight,....me included, you actually started and stuck with it. Three months flew by to me so I see how determination can pay off,.....congratulations to you!!!!!!! I am starting my journey again now and your pics are…
  • Hang in there,....and it may help to fully believe and acknowledge that your new lifestyle is not only to see the numbers on the scale drop,...but for your overall health! Don't give up on something benefitting your body in unseen ways. I have been here over a year but not consistently,....feel free to add me, I am once…
  • Nice work,.....you should be very proud!!!!
  • Hi there, sounds like your weight/eating is a reflection of things going on in your life,....which is just like a lot of us here! I am not sure if we is your answer,....but in my opinion,....when someone is really ready,....and has their willpower strongly in place, then there isn't a need to pay for the info or for a…
  • Been there done that,..... feel lazy and lethargic afterwards, not to mention GUILTY ! I am promising myself now that Thanksgiving will be a day of grazing ,.....a little of all my favorite things, but no pig out session. My husbands grandmother stayed slim and trim well into her 80's and swore by the simple trick of using…
  • Feel free to add me,.... I could use the extra support too. I am still working on losing 30 pounds,.... MFP has helped me so far with about ten pounds lost ! I log on daily! Donna

  • Shred it with Red Hot and hidden valley ranch packet for buffalo chicken ....use in a wrap, or a lettuce wrap even lower in cals. Can shred also for chicken salad with low fat mayo, celery cranberries onions ,....etc.
  • It sounds normal to me ! I have not seen your diary and don't know what you are eating but many times high sodium in a diet leads to water retention that can be fixed readily give it a couple more weeks and keep up the excercise,..... feel free to add me ....Im on daily  Donna
  • Congrats,....truly a success and you look wonderful
  • Best of luck to you,....and as you see from all the responses, you are not alone in this ! There is no shame in missing your goals and falling off track, when you decide to re-commit and try again ! I am sending a friend request,...Im on here daily and working to lose 30 pds more. Donna
  • 2-3 cups a day,....Love my morning coffee the most ! At home its Folgers medium roast .....but I must admit I Love Tim Hortons Best !! gotta have half and half creamer and 1 packet of equal. Quite honestly the smell of coffee in the morning helps me get up and not want to hit snooze again
