  • Thank you!! Seriously.... it's like "Wow, don't you hate how other people have faults and ask questions.... the nerve of those imperfect people!!". Anywho...
  • Drink calories, eat calories, they are all calories in the end. The main thing to is that you "feel" full when on a deficit. Protein bars can be expensive considering what you are getting. In lieu of buying protein bars, you can easily make your own using protein powder as the base. Google 'protein bar recipes' and you'll…
  • Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Vague references to "studies" done at "namedrop_college" really don't do anything for me without context and links to information about what the actual study was and how it was conducted. Also, when posts get too preachy, they have the inverse affect in that this post really wants to make me…
  • I guess it depends on how long you mean when you say "a good while", and does this include refrigeration? - Things that are good in a salad: tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, broccoli - Things that keep awhile: things that grow in the dirt, carrots, potatoes, etc. seem to last the longest. The above vegetables…
  • Short answer: Soreness is never good. It means different things, but I workout to be at my best at all times. I don't workout so I can't be at my best during other activities because I'm too sore. Longer answer... When you start a new program, a new phase, or just start working out in general, your body is going through a…
  • What helps me get up in the morning? Caffeine. What motivates me to actually do the workout? I look at my workout log every morning before I workout, and then again at night before I go to bed. I look at all of the hard work I've gone through, and I need to have a *really* serious reason for needing to skip or mail-in a…
  • Yep, I log the evening before, more than one day if I can. I eat 5-6 meals a day, and sometimes 5 of them are at work, so there is not a whole lot of flexibility I have if I'm too high or too low during the day. This way I know what to pack in the morning, and it makes the process much simpler.
  • Everything gets logged. I don't snack, and I don't take bites. It's generally something I "shouldn't" be having anyway so I just avoid it. :) Otherwise, yea I log it.
  • I think you answered your own question in your post. You either cook two meals, or you cook one meal and "convert" them. :) I rarely eat the same thing as the rest of the family and, for whatever reason, it really bugs my wife. If if we eat at the same time and I do all the cooking. It's a struggle sometimes for sure.
  • Speaking only about P90X, after one week you will be amazingly "sore"... If you are in poor physical shape, and have not been eating properly, you will struggle on this program for awhile. Not to say that you can't do it. but it will take your body some time to adjust but the results will come.
