I think you answered your own question in your post. You either cook two meals, or you cook one meal and "convert" them.
I rarely eat the same thing as the rest of the family and, for whatever reason, it really bugs my wife. If if we eat at the same time and I do all the cooking. It's a struggle sometimes for sure.0 -

I'm not sure what kind of diet plan you are on, but if you are trying to get healthy, wouldn't you want your family to be healthy too? Why not cook the same thing for them? You're not a short order cook0

I don't cook seperately for my family, I just eat smaller portions. If a serving of something is 1 cup that is what I eat. And if they aren't in the mood for veggies or something I will just cook some for myself and skip the bread. We don't fry food, but if you do I'd keep your portion to a minimum or keep a piece of whatever you are frying out for yourself and bake it or grill it.0

don't make it more complicated than it is. cook one meal - they either eat it, or they don't and they make themselves a peanut butter jelly sandwich. *shrug* if it's not good for you, then it's not good for them.0

I just have the meat and veggies at night, and my hubby has been good about converting to grilling and/or sauteeing with almost no oil. After 30 meals of me asking, "so sweetie how many ounces do you think this is?" he even weighs/measures for me and tells me when we sit down at the table. Conversely, once in awhile I "take one for the team" and enjoy a slice of pizza or make something decadent and cut my calories earlier in the day. It's a group effort. The kids...well, it's my job to feed them not necessarily to understand what or why they like some things on Fridays but not on Mondays... so they get fed. I just plan on them being unhappy about SOMETHING at dinner! lol0
