Lima beans are so smooth, you can make hummus with them, instead of with garbanzos. Also, there are tons of different soup recipes.

So happy you are in a healthier and loving home. You are so young, yet so inspiring. Sixty pounds is a very big deal. You will continue to be an amazing girl with this positive outlook you have. You're beautiful inside and out.

I can understand the "sell out" feeling . . . I can understand, but I don't support it! You worked very hard exercising, obviously, and I'm sure recovering from surgery is no joke. I'm sure the other mommies aren't let down because if you've been a great a support to them, all they should be is happy for you, and…

I live in a busy city. I have always worked providing services to families. Many grandparents that I have worked with, care for their grandchildren while the parents work. Hopping on a busy bus, crossing busy city streets with fast cars, bike messengers flying by, people walking fast, and then add the slower moving…

Yum. So drinking Fat Tire, will not contribute to my own fat tire.

I used to drink Diet Coke everyday, but for the last couple of years I only drink one can a week, and now it's just a special treat. If I really need that carbonation fix, I'll have sparkling water. I prefer Coke Zero. I feel like it doesn't have the aftertaste that Diet Coke does, but of course everyone is different. I…

I have Kettlebell Drills with Paul Katami. I chose this DVD after a lot of research, because I had read so many stories about people hurting themselves for not knowing how to correctly swing a kettlebell. He has a "clinic" portion in the video where he teaches form, and it's very detailed.

LOL!

I'm sorry about the "get a job" type comments, it's a tough economy, and I have many professional friends taking p/t jobs because it's all they can find. I have compassion for you. Although, I agree, that I would try, if at all possible to not borrow from relatives, if you must, there are some things you should do. I lent…

You look wonderful ad congratulations on your success!!

What a great feeling! Congrats to you.

OMG! This is one of the most amazing transformations I've seen. You look so healthy! Do you mind sharing what kind of exercise you did? Your body right now, looks as if you've never been overweight in your life! Congratulations on your success, well deserved!

What a great story! This c25k is getting more and more interesting to me! You are very beautiful, and your great personality shines through too! WTG!

I get your point, completely, but actually, the site has helped me, because I may still be thinking A LOT about food, but I'm thinking of it in a healthier way. I learn tips, get inspired, don't feel so alone in my struggle, and I see food differently. I still fall off the wagon, and it's been the hardest it's every been…

I have bought clothing, one size down, but never at goal weight. Actually, this has been a way I can see weight coming off, even if it''s not budging so much on the scale. If I could barely get a pair of jeans up my thighs, but now I can buckle them, I feel very good about it. As far as buying clothing for my goal weight,…

You look really fit! And happy to hear about your friend. Good point, think I will take some pics of the big belly on me to see if I can see any progress in the future.

What a difference! I can see it on your face too, and that's the second place I carry my weight!!
-
Great job!

This is sooo inspiring, thank you for posting. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and photos. All the pics have a shown a difference, so that's really motivating. I tried to keep my carbs in check, but I'm usually over a few points here on MFP. Queen_kristi, I totally feel you on the "carry weight like a man" . So,…

Omg! What? And I'm walking 3 miles for nothing! Please share what you're doing. I actually do like lifting weights, more than I do cardio, but I really don't know if I have good form, or anything like that. I did buy some kettlebells, and plan to start those up again. Any tips would be great and you look amazing!!!

I"m not a fan of theirs either. But, I am getting at least 3 cups a day by hiding them. Here are my go-to's: * Baby Spinach- It has no taste when you put it in a smoothie. I stuff 2 cups of baby spinach, with half banana, and maybe some berries, into a blender, and it's yummy w/o the taste of veggies. Look up "Green…

I'm not a runner. My best friend started running when she was overweight. Well, she loves it and is addicted, and yet she's still not thin. Sometimes she still talks about the awkwardness of not being as thin as other runners. She says there is a name for runners like her, "clydesdales" like those strong horses, a little…

I'm a veggie hater to a certain extent. So, to at least get 3 cups of veggies in my day, I make green monster smoothies. 3 cups baby spinach, banana (I only use half) and some other fruit, either pineapple, mango or berries, a little water and in the blender it goes. Can't taste the spinach at all!!!! Maybe pick his…

I'm glad you started this thread. Some people do seem to be very nasty on the boards, but I assume it's safe while they type away insults alone in their home with no consequences (seems to be the same handful of people talking crap on multiple threads). Also, there seems to be a sense of entitlement, "I have a right to my…

I, like others here, do the pita pizza, good for lunch and stuff. Then, if it's for dinner, I make my own regular pizza dough, and like mentioned by a poster above, I just roll it really thin. I make mine veggie all the time, but now and then buy turkey pepperoni. Being able to have pizza while I lose weight makes me smile!

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a time that you need support. Apart from getting support from MFP friends, I would suggest going on Meet up dot com. They have walking groups, board game groups, etc. I'm shy and it can be hard to make friends, but there are a lot of other people looking to make friendships too. At…

I'm going for 130 for now. I know that 130 is still considered overweight, but for me, it would be a vast improvement! Also, if you google "weight and height photos" online, you can see that some women are 5ft, and weigh 130 and look very healthy, and some may look overweight, think it depends on toning but also how your…

Although I don't track my sugar, I have lowered my intake greatly. I was watching a show on PBS and the speaker gave the tip of slowly reducing sugar in what we eat. Like if you have 2 tblsp. of flavored creamer, go down to 1.5 tblsp., do that for a week, and then try 1 tblsp., if it's not sweet enough, go back to the 1.5…
