Hi. I have PCOS too. I have been stuck for about 4 months - going nowhere, and like you finding it very hard to keep motivated. But basically I have been managing to maintain at around 140. In the past few months I have been eating more breads etc, less fruit and veg and have started to feel awful. I had been eating lots…

I am meant to be working at keeping my cholesterol in check over this past 2 years. When the problem was first detected I went to a dietician to get advice on what I should eat/reduce, etc. She said that 3 eggs a week was fine. Unfortunately since then we have started to keep and breed hens so we have bucket loads of…

The expensive designer dress (first one I have ever had) that my husband bought me for my birthday in April, that is still sitting in the wardrobe with tags on because I bought a size smaller not realising I had hit a solid plateau :noway: ...I am still stuck, having lost motivation and just maintained for the last few…

Count me in jennipooh : ). I'm not in a group, but have spent the last week trying to get fully back on track and think that tomorrow (Monday) I will be seriously knuckling down to try to push forward again. I would be interested in checking in, chatting about topics that might help to keep on track, motivating, setting…

Hi! I joined the group last night and weighed in this morning. I have been on a plateau for about 4 mths - am starting again after a 2 week break from detailed logging and exercise due to work pressures, but I am on holidays from tomorrow so ready to do battle. Here are my details. Name/Screenname: Fiona/fififox Starting…

Hi! I'd like to join too. I just have 30DS but want to get back to treadmill as well. I have a DavinaI McCall DVD that is still in the wrapping, so maybe I could take alook at that and see if I could work that in too. I have taken about a 2 week break from exercise and careful logging and the scales because of a mad work…

Yep - loads of Irish here : )...look out for the diaries with the Tayto's, Barry's tea and the Galtee rashers  I'm Irish...just wishing I was younger and could emigrate to escape the crappy climate, lol...oh yeh, and the recession:sad:

I breastfed and I seem to remember 500cals as the daily figure for extra calories you needed for that. One of my mfp friends was exclusively bf til recently as well and I remember that she used 500cals as her daily bf figure too. Be careful that you don't under eat. I have been paying the price of that for the last 3 mths.…

I started it yesterday...wasn't feeling well so i can't say I gave it my all...or today either because of it. It's certainly different. I prefer some of the exercises in level 2. Found it hard to finish but I presume it gets easier like level 1 after a bit. I am looking forward to trying it on a day I feel fitter and less…

I accidentally did my first session at level 2 this evening. I put it on to just take a look and said I might as well do a bit along with it and ended up just keeping going. It probably wasn't a good decision (very tough at work at moment so I'm wrecked, my husband has a stomach bug and mine feels a bit iffy...I had just…

Day 10 done...It has gotten a lot easier. I got the push-ups done more or less today...a little weak at the end and got to the last 5 bicycle crunches (with difficulty, lol!), so I was pleased with that. I will try to take a look at level 2 tomorrow but will probably do level 1 for another day or two. I would like time to…

This is good reading! I have a question. I am definitely on a plateau - as a result I am sure of eating too little (1200 calories for 9 mths generally give or take a few bad days). I have been stuck for at least 3 mths and recently upped my calories to about 1500 a day average - I am trying zig-zagging as well. I think I…

lollaler, I have been doing it with a HRM and I reckon it varies between about 165 to 185 calories for me. I have 3lb weights and 5lb weights, but have just been using the 3lb weights. This is my first time using weights and I started out with very poor upper body (whole body actually, lol!) strength so I reckon that was…

 I started about 12 days ago but just did day 9 today due to events that meant I couldn't do it on a few of the days. I found the first 3 days quite sore muscle wise , on the fourth it was easier, by the 5th my muscles were fine...now it is pretty do-able every day. Because of the structure....3,2,1 and 3 circuits…

Yes, yes, yes. You can do it. I had an unscheduled event crop up 2 evenings ago and yesterday I was just tired after a stressful week and took a night off. I was so afraid that that would start me off on the slippery slope. But I did it this morning and it was fine - the easiest day yet and no stiffness (I think today was…

bonboncito, I don't have back-pain, but I have to admit that this evening I had an odd pain in the my left thigh (high up and to the outside). Minussam - great to hear that you are seeing the results in your clothing. I did day 8 tonight - generally managing o.k - I think I was a little better at the push-ups tonight. I…

Hi everyone! Heart's desire, I love your profile pic...describes how I feel exactly about all of the changes I have made in the last 9 months! Well done to everyone - we are really getting there, and it is god to know we are all keeping on track. I did day 7 today - It really has gotten easier (except for those awful…

I have struggled so badly these last few days - very heavy pms and just fighting the cravings constantly (not always winning!) - I get it for up to a week before. Sorry - I have no answers - but I know how you are feeling  I forced myself to exercise this evening with 0 energy levels...hating the world and…

I hope to try level 2 after 10 sessions of level 1...or at least I will watch level 2 and see what I think, or try it and hold back if I think I am not ready to progress.

Day 6 done. With very bad pms at the moment I hate everything...not just the 30DS, lol! So tired and had to force myself, but got through it. I have definitely moved through the muscle pain end of things so it's easier now. Still finding the push-ups worst - haven't yet gotten through teh full amount and struggling with…

sjacobsen...I have to confess that the 3-2-1 I like isn't the one tht gives 3 minutes of strength, 2 of cardio and 1 of abs.....it's teh 3-2-1 countdown at the end of every exercise where I say to myself 'Thank God that one is over', lol! I'm a wimp really. I find that last countdown on each exercise helps me to keep going…

Bumping in the hope that someone will have a bit of advice. Thanks

Slowcooker Kashmiri Butter Chicken. (We call the Crockpot a Slowcooker) Unbelievably good, uses very little butter, has a rich sauce and low calorie. Very authentic! Could be cooked on stove also. Freezes well. Serves 4: c.301 Calories per serving using the mfp recipe calculator. 2 onions quartered 3 garlic cloves 4cmfresh…

I didn't do this yesterday as I was up at 4.30am to fly over to London for the day and arrived home at 10pm after walking around all day so I was too exhausted. I soooo didn't feel like doing it tonight because I was tired, but I did - and I was glad I did. It didn't hurt much but I am not sure if that is because I had a…

Great confirmation of your success! Well done!

Hi! Sorry, I am in a rush. Just gone midnight and I have to be up at 4.30am ...flying over to London for the day tomorrow. Yay! I will get home after 10pm so really doubt I will have the energy to do my 5th day til Sunday. I did day 4 this evening. I do think I am stronger and the stiffness is easing up. Good luck to all…

Yes. I think it really shows the difference tis can make. I have seen some pics where people started off looking a bit loose and then a bit more toned but this to me was an extraordinary difference. I don't need such a dramatic difference...even if I got half !!!

So glad I'm not the only one starkers!

I should have said that both of the other times I lost this much weight were because I was having fertility issues and treatment because I couldn't get pregnant. This time I am doing it just for me...because I deserve it, lol

This time I am 'owning' the changes. Other times I 'suffered' the exercise or diet, but this time I am actually becoming someone who exercises and eats this way. I see it all as my reward - I do deserve to feel better and to be more healthy and to take the time out to invest in myself in this physical way. I also think…
