[/quote] Sorry, messed that up. What do you do if your BMR is only 1348 & you have a desk job so are sitting around for about 9 hours every day? I go to the gym 4-5 days a week but probably don't burn more than 200-300 calories for my workout. How many calories can I eat if I want to lose 1 pound a week?

Does it bother you that she is harming herself? 1200 is too low for someone with her stats. As I just posted, 1400 would the liquid diet her doctors would put her on to maintain life were she to go into a coma. It is called her basal metabolic rate, and it puts great stress on the body to try and function on less than…

I have a Bodymedia Fit and really like it. It makes me realize how few calories I burn in a day if I don't walk or get to the gym. The only downside is that you wear it on your arm and I don't want everyone knowing I'm using it. It's okay in the winter when I'm wearing long sleeves. There is also a monthly charge to use…

Completed W7D1 today. 25 minute run!!!!!! Wow. I have so much more energy to run in the morning on weekends than after work on week days. It gave me such a feeling of accomplishment all day. I`d like to run tomorrow morning but I`m not sure if I should take a rest day and wait until after work on Monday.

Finished W5D3 today! Can't believe I ran 20 mins. straight, admittedly slowly. A few weeks ago, 90 seconds seemed like forever.

Just finished W5D1 today. I actually found it wasn't too bad. I was sidelined for 2 1/2 weeks due to a back injury and was worried that I would need to backtrack. All's well and looking forward to W5D2 on Tuesday.

I finished W4D3 last Wednesday, but hurt my back on Thursday. I went to a chiropractor today and he says to give it some time. I hope to get back to C25K in a week or so. I will probably need to go back to W3D1 again, but we'll see. I was so looking forward to starting W5.

I use my Bodymedia solely as well. I have been trying for at least a 500 calorie deficit a day for 1 pound weight loss per week. I am pretty good with tracking everything I eat. I have not been losing that much weight, so I think it is over-estimating my calories burned. It says I burn about 2000 calories a day and I eat…

I usually eat around 1200 calories a day, sometimes more if I burn extra calories. I have a Bodymedia Fit and I know that if I don't do any extra exercise I only burn about 1400 calories in a day. If I ate 1700 calories, I would be gaining weight. Everybody is different and you shouldn't make generalizations about the 1200…

I'm in! I started walking during my lunch hour the last couple weeks & I also use the treadmill at the gym.

Great Job!

I'm curious about this too. I belong to Goodlife and their trainers charge about the same amount, but I think you have to sign up for at least 6 months training. That's a lot of money and a major commitment and you may not lose any weight.

I went back to WW a few weeks ago & have been losing steadily since I started. I am a lifetime member. I like to come on MFP to read the message boards, but found I could not get my number of calories right here & wasn't losing any weight. I know that with WW I will lose the weight if I track what I'm eating & stay within…

I'm in. I'd like to lose 10 lbs. between now & Christmas.

1. I usually do weight training for about 30 mins & then do cardio after. 2. I'm following weight watchers to lose weight.
-
I'm over 50 and originally had 25-30 lbs. to lose. I have lost 13 lbs. so far. Add me if you want.

I've been doing well with all 3 challenges, but I haven't been able to keep my food intake low enough. I have been on vacation & over-indulging too much. I expect to see a gain at the weigh-in. I'm back to work on Monday, so I will get back on track then.

I'm in! Can't wait to start tomorrow.

You probably have not gained weight, since that would be impossible with this low of calories. I didn't see how tall you are. When people say 1200 calories minimum, that is a generalization. If you are short (which I am), you can't expect to lose weight on 2,000 calories, unless you are exercising to a great extent. My…

I have been doing Weight Watchers on-line for about 3 months now & have lost 10 lbs. It's slow, but it's coming off. I log my food & weight on WW site and come to MFP to log my weight as well and read the message boards. Add me if you like.

Looks really good. I think I'll try them.

I'm curious to know if this works for you. I'm struggling with the same problem. I'm doing weight watchers now, but I am stuck at 7 lbs. lost. I am going through menopause as well and it's really difficult. Add me as a friend if you like.

I'm 5' tall and have lost 7 lbs so far. Still need to lose 23 lbs. Add me if you'd like.
