  • i recently joined a gym. Prior to joining the gym, my main excercise consisted of the activity I get at work (hospital), changing elevator usage to stairs, and doing some strength training at home with weights. My first day at the gym two weeks ago I walked the treadmill for about 40 minutes at a pace of about 4 miles an…
  • i am proud of you for not beating yourself up for your binge. You look great in your pic, so no worries :) Keep your weigh in day..I doubt one binge is going to alter those numbers too much...and if you only weigh once a month...your numbers will be good anyway!!!
  • omg! this post was so timely!! i have been freaking out over a 6lb weight gain in the past 3 days!!! I have eaten no different, but have been doing weights daily for the past month...could it "all of a sudden" cause weight gain? I know muscle weighs more than fat...but this is ridiculous. I tried to drink more water…
  • this is a great post! I have struggled with eating disorders most of my life, and this post was one of the best I have seen in a while. thanks!
  • Oh, how I can identify with a lot of the comments here. I absolutely HATE it when people comment on my weight loss...did I look so bad before???? I don't think it is appropriate to ask someone how much weight they have lost...I also hate when people ask me how i did it....I know they mean well, but I have struggled with…
  • that is awesome!! GOOD FOR YOU!
  • way to go! but you are beautiful in both pictures!!
  • didn't log today because I mostly just snacked here and there...for dinner i focused on turkey and raw vegetables...as a snack later at home i ate a very small plate of some various items...i would guesstimate by calorie total to be around 800 for the day...a little more than i usually eat, so not so bad for thanksgiving.
  • good to see you here! I also had lost a significant amount of weight (60 lbs) before coming on this site. I enjoy using this site to keep tabs on what is going into my mouth...It helps me stay accountable. I have more to lose and enjoy the support of others on this site. Reading their stories and seeing progress pictures…
  • still trying to figure this one out lol...I think I will try and eat mostly from the veggie tray, and have some turkey. If i want to eat anything else, I will put just one bite of each thing I want. My goal is to stay in control. I don't want to feel bad the next day. It's not worth it to me, no matter what the holiday. I…
  • I can completely understand your struggle. I don't think it's your friend you have the problem with. I think that, if you are like me, food and weight have been a huge issue in your life. It means the world to you to be successful. You are probably more determined than ever and just want to be able to celebrate your…
  • ps.. ask your doctor about wellbutrin ....its pretty safe unless you have a history of seizures, then you shouldn't take it...it really has made a difference I think....a friend of mine switched her antidepressant to wellbutrin a month ago and has lost 10 lbs...its not a diet drug, but it does something...
  • Yeah, you shouldn't have to adjust to feeling hungry...that's not fair, YET, that is how I feel as well. I actually don't really get hungry much anymore unless I am getting ready to start. My problem comes into play when I get bored and don't stay busy (which rarely happens in my life). I save most of my calories for…
  • First of all, I bet you are more active than you think with 4 kids...you also probably go grocery shopping each week, trips to target or walmart, etc. Every bit helps. But I hear you saying you aren't losing any weight. Perhaps drop your calories just by 100 a day and see what happens. Maybe because you are so sedentary…
  • Tonight I ate dinner with my kids. I ate from all the food groups. I actually allowed myself to enjoy my dinner even though I went a little over my calorie goal for this meal. I am still restricting, but today I actually allowed myself to be more nourished. I did compensate with some excercise, but nothing stringent.…
  • thank you
  • I am consistently under my calorie goal for the day, so one time shouldn't be all that bad
