weights and weight gain

Does anyone else see a weight gain the day after weight training? maybe water retention?

    I know your muscles retain water as they heal so that's probably why.
  • water for sure weight can change from 600g plus just from water retention
  • omg! this post was so timely!! i have been freaking out over a 6lb weight gain in the past 3 days!!! I have eaten no different, but have been doing weights daily for the past month...could it "all of a sudden" cause weight gain? I know muscle weighs more than fat...but this is ridiculous. I tried to drink more water today...is that the right thing to do?? i feel a little better!!

  • thanks for the replies, I've been running but added some weights to help increase speed and endurance and the next day (weigh in day) I lost zero pounds...so I tech. didn't gain but I'm trying to keep myself motivated so I don't backslide...thanks again
