  • Thank you :) Took me about a year and a half maybe two years. I got stuck between 145 and 135 for a really long time!
  • AH! Thanks everyone! You're all so sweet...and I just gotta say...DAMN there are some good looking people on this thread!! Keep up the work everyone, and feel free to add me as a friend. There are days where I do need a good kick in the butt ;)
  • I did Weight Watchers for a while, became vegetarian after a while (it was after I lost the weight though. Can't attribute weight loss to vegetarianism but it certainly helps keep it off!) and now I eat all kinds of crazy stuff like tofu and quinoa! I always suggest expanding your pallet to crazy health foods. Never know…
  • Thanks kittygamer! Still new to posting, tried everything to get them to show up!
  • Water! After each bite, take a gulp of water, you'll feel full and only have eaten maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of what you normally eat! Check yourself after half your meal. Take a break. If your satisfied, stop. If you really want to keep eating, pour water over your meal. Nothing says I'm done eating like a soggy burger.
  • They're not bad, but they are a high glycemic index food, meaning, they spike your blood sugar. They're really good before a work out though! Like anything else, fine in moderation!
  • I have such a hard time with it too!!!!!!!!!! I'm always asking people for advice. Here's a couple of my lunches. -Morningstar veggie chicken nuggets and a salad. -A wrap with hummus and your favorite veggies. -Soup! -Subway Veggie Delite -Left overs from dinner :) (pasta, homemade pizza, quinoa salad, rice and beans, etc)…
  • You think Food Inc is bad? Try Earthlings. Hope you have a strong stomach :(
  • Morningstar vegan bacon is really good and low in fat/calories!
  • Maybe zig zag your work outs? Try some new stuff, you're body is probably just getting used to your work outs. Maybe zig zag some food choices too? I know I have my favorite foods that I know are healthy and easy, but you need to change it up every once in a while. Look up some superfoods and try some recipes with the ones…
  • Try joining one of the challenges, the comrodery of the challenge helps make friends. Maybe get some of your real life friends to join too. Then you'll have extra support. If that doesn't work, get a dog. My dog always high fives me when I ask him to, never calls me fat, and listens to me when I'm making important life…
  • 100% agree!
  • Ok, the whole natural vs. refined thing makes perfect sense! I wish it did separate natural from refined, I just hate going over on sugar! But if it's from fruits, I'll try my best to look past that red number. Thanks guys!
  • Bananas are good, but they're high on the glycemic index. They're really good right before you work out, but if you don't plan on being active, try choosing berries. They take longer for your body to digest and won't spike your blood sugar.
  • My family used to dine out all the time. It's what lead me to over 200 lbs. BUT, by using the tips below, I was able to lose 80lbs (with work out of course) still dining out many times per week! 1 - Check the menu out before you go. Know what you want to order and order first, so that other people's tempting choices won't…
  • I wear yoga pants a lot to work out and I've always had the hardest time with underwear! I've found the best to be Victoria's Secret lace "cheekies." Who wears lace underwear when they work out? I know...but seriously, it's comfortable and doesn't show underwear lines in tighter pants! Also, VS has cotton panties that has…
  • Pure Protein bars are my go-to. They're 180 calories, 20 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar. Muscle Milk or Muscle Milk Light are also really good. The light is 160 calories, 20 grams of protein 0 grams of sugar. The regular are 220 calories, 25 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar. Both are perfect to guzzle down right…
  • I'm 5'6 and 116 right now. I'm fine with this weight but just want that liiiiiittle bit of tummy bump to go away! Would be ok with 120 if I could gain muscle and lose the tummy! :)
  • Hahaha, I hear ya!
  • Try switching up your routine completely. Instead of lifting weights, try a cardio class like kickboxing. Your body has adjusted to your routine...time for some muscle confusion!
  • Thanks, I got a box at lunch...much better on the sugar!
  • Oooh! Awesome sugar to protein ratio! Thanks! Where do you get them??
  • Yes, I understand there are some differences for some shorties, but there's never ever a time when any grown woman should be eating under 1000 calories a day! My advice is to check your goal weight's BMI to see if it's a healthy goal :)
  • Anything canned or frozen is going to have a lot of sodium because it's a preservative. Stick to fresh fruits and veggies...and try making your own soups/pastas and what not...you'll cut down on sodium big time! Also...cut out fast food! Seriously, it's pure sodium and fat! Try making your own or opting for a salad :) it's…
  • There's a "strength training" category under cardiovascular part of the exercise tab.
  • Consistency! I usually eat around a 200 calorie meal 6 times a day, with one of those meals (usually lunch) being a little more towards 300/400 calories. Eating smaller meals more throughout the day helps. And the consistency really helps. Sometimes skipping lunch or dinner, or having one really big meal and the rest…
  • This used to happen to me...only i'd wake up like an hour or two after falling asleep, feeling like I needed to eat. What I started doing when this happened was I would go drink a big glass of water, then go brush my teeth again. The water plus having a new taste in your mouth makes you feel like you ate something...or at…
  • Anywhere from 110 - 140 is an ideal weight for your height. Looking at these posts, I'd HIGHLY recommend not trying to get below 110. 105 is the ABSOLUTE lowest you should go to stay in a healthy BMI range, but you'd be right on the edge of healthy and unhealthy. Unfortunately society is pointing women towards flat…
  • Vegan Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies! My FAVORITE recipe ever...and it's a lot healtier than regular cookies (these also can be made as muffins). PLUS it's the easiest recipe ever (and EVERYONE loves it). Needed: 1 box of Duncan Heinz Chocolate Fudge cake mix 1 16oz can of pumpkin pie filling 1 bag of Gheradelli (or any…
