I'm an Army brat and I work for the Air Force. Completely used to it. It is nice to be called miss, though :-)

Smoothies! They CAN be healthy but often aren't, and lots of people suck down a 500 calorie smoothie as a snack!

This is a great idea, I'd only recommend ask the restaurant first if you can order them ala carte at a lower price. My friend and I went to Tahoe Joe's and only ordered salads with two veggie sides and split a baked potato and it was over $70.....they just charged us full for everything then removed what we didn't want.

I do Chipotle bowls, no sour cream or cheese and light on the rice. I also like Panda Express where I choose two low cal entree items (they are all labelled with calories, I usually get green bean chicken and broccoli beef) with veggies instead of rice. It weighs about 3 tons and is less than 500 calories. Subway is also…

The general "professional" rule of thumb about gifts is not to accept anything valued at over $20. Homemade gifts are easy because you can easily circumvent the value thing. If you go with a gift card I'd not buy one more than $20. I've had to have the uncomfortable "I can't accept this" conversation before....I felt so…

My driver's license is about 5-6 lbs over my actual weight :-)

Wow, I never thought I'd see heavy metal and country separated by a mere "/".

Super cool, congrats! That happened to me last week as well when I took a bunch of size 6's into the dressing room then had to replace them all with 4's. I definintely agree, though, no gloating! But it makes you feel good inside!

Girl, I am so with you. Tom Hiddleston is my super crush right now. I don't even normally care about celebrities but I'm totally crushing on this man!

My workout pants have a small pocket with a zipper on the back, so unless you lose you pants, you can't lose your keys ;-)

I'm half Japanese so I've been eating Natto since I was a baby and I love it. So yes, I do sometimes have it as a snack. It's yummy with sliced green onions in it as well :-)

Supplements cannot 100% replace what you'd get from real food.

Since you mentioned the weather and not wanting hot foods, here are some no cook ideas: parfait - yogurt or ricotta cheese, fruit of your choice, a little granola or nuts on top if you want, a sprinkle of cinnamon (you can also use your cottage cheese in this instead of yogurt or ricotta) - if you need it a bit sweeter you…

Ditto to what everyone else has said about this. Also, in all seriousness, from a woman to a woman, building up all kinds of sweat down there is inviting a yeast infection to the party. Yuck.

This is a hard question! I like just about all fruits and veggies. I'll just pick the first two things that come to mind I guess.. Veggie: Asparagus Fruit: Cherries

I think if you're not attracted then you're not attracted, you can't force it. But don't write him off entirely, if you become friends he may grow on you and you may date him in the future ;-)

We women are so much harder on ourselves.

I'd say if you're attracted, don't write him off. Don't write him off just from insecurity (not saying you feel that way, but if you do). I'm 5'7" and I've dated probably 3-4 guys shorter/same height as me. I prefer taller guys but if I'm attracted it doesn't really matter to me. and to the Amazonian comment...I think…

What a great way to start my Tuesday. Amen to that, sister!!

You can get your metabolism measured directly with a Metacheck test. It's really simple to get done and is very accurate. Not sure what places around you may offer it but you may want to call around. It also shows where your metabolism is compared to average. BMR measures metabolism based on averages.

Being overweight while eating less than 1200calories a day is a very common problem. Your body has gotten so used to the low calorie intake it won't burn and your metabolism is totally fried. To lose weight you have to eat more. A lot of people have a hard time making that transition because it sounds so backwards, but…

I REALLY, REALLY hate toaster strudels. I don't know why, but every time I see those commercials where they talk about their superiority over the Poptart I get mad they are mis-treating that Poptart! ;-P
-
"Poptarts, a vial of crack in very pack!" Like an earlier post, I can't eat just one of them so I don't get them. They are yummy but hardly ever worth the calories so I rarely eat them. But they are tasty little buggers.

Are you getting Bod Pod tested, too? That can help you to keep an eye on your body composition as you're working through this. Increased protein is good but 1 gram per pound is entirely too much. Your body can only use so much protein at a time, even with heavy lifting, and excessive protein puts a lot of stress on your…

I like Mongolian BBQ a lot because you can control exactly what's in it, including salt! At my local Chinese restaurant that offers Mongolian BBQ I have the complimentary bowl of egg drop soup (some salt there, but that's the only major thing at the meal) then 1-2 trips of BBQ with no noodles, just tons of veggies and…

B12 is found in most animal foods and also in fortified cereal. However, I'd highly recommend going to your doctor FIRST before trying any dietary changes. There are lots of reasons and causes for having yellow skin, some of them serious, and it's best to get looked at by your MD asap.
