Went for a 35 minute bike ride with my husband! It was a bit scary at first, but felt great to be out there doing that :)

The ham I eat is shaved lean ham and it's 48 calories for 50 grams, just to put that out there. And I believe one whole egg is about 80-90 calories. Love love my eggs for breakfast!

Another geek to join the asylum here! Actually playing some swtor while unwinding after work, and rping in it. If you know what I'm on it about, hurrah! I feel like rpers are pariahs among the pariahs ;) 31 years old, married, Australian, met husband in a star wars chat room, want to call my cats Elanor and Niphredil after…

Another PCOSer here. I was diagnosed about eighteen months ago after several miscarriages, and put on metformin and the pill (for cycle regulation) right away. The weight has been very slow in coming of for me, but I do find with the weight I've lost, some of my symptoms have improved. Now my husband and I have decided…

Thanks very much for the information! It looks like it may be a good idea to keep it going, but take note of calories burnt once I've finshed the cardio work, and then round the final total down a bit. Alternatively, I could only enter the cardio calories and just use any extras burnt off during weight work as a buffer in…

Don't worry too much about not being eligible for laser surgery. Even poeple who do have successful laser surgery will still need reading glasses once they hit age 45-50. This is because around this age the crystalline lens inside your eye loses the ability to accmodate (that is, change shape and thickness) to focus on…

I'm glad to hear that you keep them clean, single most important thing :) As for the travelling with your lid, perhaps you might benefit from lubricating drops until your eyes get more accustomed to them? Something you could ask the optometrist maybe, or even ring his office and ask his reception girls. I know where I…

Hi there, I work as an optical dispenser (which is kind of like a pharmcist for spectacles and contact lenses - a pharmacist fills a script from your doctor, an optical dispenser fills a script from your optometrist). I can't actually give specific medical advice, however there are a couple of things. Firstly, it is very…

Worst ever..well, may not be my worst ever but the hour since I got home from work just now has been pretty bad. I just inhaled a mini custard tart, 100g of chocolate and half a box of cheezels. Erg... and there's a roast chicken cooking in the oven.. at least roast chicken breast without skin is good, and I'll make sweet…

I have to agree. She wants to lose 10lbs or so, which will not put her at an unhealthily low weight. I greatly doubt she posted here to be attacked about her motivations. This is a place of support, encouragement and information, not a place to have one's goals ripped at publically with no provocation. If you don't agree…

I think we're not allowed to post links, but if you google for Australian Women's Health, they have a lot of workouts on their site, which include instructions on each movement and how many reps to do, etc. It also includes lifestyle information and healthy recipes, for those who are interested. I'll send you the link in a…

I'm not expert, however I've found in my own experience of using MFP, that after one day of not counting last week, my weight jumped up by about 2kg (approx 4lb). For the week since then, I've stuck to my calories, worked out a few times, and eaten back my exercise calories, along with drinking plenty of water, and this…

Walked 0.6 miles as a cooldown after my first Zumba class, feeling great! xx

Be strong! I just ate a whole bag of mint M&Ms and now feel asbolutely horrible about it. Just imagine how good you'll feel once they're gone and you've managed to not have any! Go girl! xx

Mmm..chupa chups, I'd forgotten all about those ltitle things. Not bad for getting a sugar fix and stopping you from going all out! xx

Woohoo! Finally made a start for February! This morning is the first day in ages it's been under 30C, so my husband and I took the opportunity and walked 1.5 miles before breakfast. Feels great :) Happy weekend everyone! Oh, and about the ticker not updating, are you sure you're logging into the same one to update and not…

I go to a gym nearby which does yoga classes, and love it. I started going about a year ago to help deal with some anxiety issues, and it helped with that, and with how strong my body feels. I was fairly intimidated the first time, but as it turns out, I had no reason to feel that way. The instructor is friednly,…

3rd of February already and no miles D: Work has been insane (not a very good excuse, I know), but I did get to yoga tonight. I plan to start walking either tomorrow after work or the next day, and then there'll be no stopping me. I have to catch up with you guys! How embarrassing if I'm the only one on the first graph…

Hi sunshine! I'm Australian, 30 years old, married with no children and needing to lose about 50kg to my eventual goal weight. xx

I'm feeling really good about this! Can't wait! xx

I'm up for this! I sort of..fell off and forgot to track my walking in January, but with the tracking I did I saw what I'm capable of and am going to set my goal to 20 miles in February. Can't wait!

I did the same thing..absolutely atrocious all weekend. Ate everything in sight and then some, and did no exercise. I feel so gross now..however, we can always jump back on the wagon, and know there's awesome MFPers who've been there before and still support us, give us the boost up that we need. So I'm there with you,…

Haven't been feeling great for a few days, but getting back into it this evening, I hope!

I've been doing yoga for around a year, took a couple of months off and had my first class again a few days ago and the soreness is completely normal. I usually feel it the most two days after the class, but don't be concerned. It means your muscles are working, and ones we don't normally use are getting a workout!

I discovered today that I can walk! And I can enjoy it! It was a total revelation and the absolute highlight of my day! Bring on the miles! Though..hmm..I need to burn some serious calories over the next few days..hmm... MON - Calories Burned: 224 /Under Fat Goal: No. +3 TUE - Calories Burned: 0 /Under Fat Goal: Yes! -13…

1.5 miles done, and it feels awesome! Maybe I *can* do more than 10 miles this month!
-
Hi there! I hope you all don't mind if I jump in a little late. I've recently decided I want to be able to run, but I have to get my fitness up and conquer walking first, so this is perfect. I know it sounds low, but I'm going to start with a gentle goal of 10 miles for the month, seeing as it's already the twelfth. Thanks…

Thinking of everyone up there, hoping the water recedes and the rivers don't reach the predicted peaks. My heart goes out to you, and I sincerely hope you suffer no losses, of any kind!

The challenge this week is to burn 3500 calories, and stay under the recommended fat allowance set for you by MFP each day :) Edit: Speaking of which! Good on you! I've been doing yoga once a week since last February (most weeks anyway..about to restart ;)) and I can't recommened it highly enough! I've found that when I go for a few weeks in a row, it really makes a difference to how strong and vibrant my body feels. Let me know how you get on!
