I think my midwestern USA born-raised daughter has seen too many eps of Top Gear UK ... She saw a Prius and said "Pry-us" :) No amount of me saying "Pree-us" would dissuade her. I think she just likes to say it like Jeremy Clarkson!

Hope you and especially your sister are free from that jerk very soon. Life is too short to have someone pouring poison in your ears.

Southern California ... especially the beach ... and not feel so badly out of place, as I did last time :)

I have a very sedentary job, so I lowered my daily goal to 6000 steps. That's far better than the <2000 steps I used to get on a typical day.... it's all good, right? I hop on a treadmill a few times a week to get a few thousand steps more in. When that becomes my norm, I can always up the ante later.

I like proteins after a workout, whether it is a protein bar or shake, or a homemade meat rollup, etc.

I just wanna hug you! Us big gals rock hard! Keep plugging at it, no worries!

I don't really feel qualified to answer your question, but I admire your tenacity! One thing I suggest would be to switch to a sport - more for the fun than for the "workout". Racquetball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer, things like that? You've worked so hard - your body might appreciate the break, and your brain…

"Let's Pretend this Never Happened" (in your pants)... I am crying with laughter!!

One of my bff's daughter's told me "You're FAT". I answered (not very maturely) "You're rude." We both wound up apologizing :D

Audio books! Music doesn't hold my attention enough to distract me, but a good story helps the time pass

Antonio Banderas Craig Ferguson David Tennant Dermot Mulroney Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly). He's just so cute I could eat him up. ooo errr ;)

Aragorn/Strider. Mmm yum.

In my lifetime, I've managed to break both ankles, so no - didn't try the roly-poly shoes. I'm dangerous enough in "flats"!!

"thingy" is a GREAT word :) Congrats on your accomplishments!

Just wanted to share a hug and hopes that your husband's health and your own sanity get a break soon!

LOL - guess I need a new profile pic with my iPhone, since the Palm has since gone bye-bye!

I second that emotion! I also like the Pie Chart (under "Daily") that shows the proportion of calories from Carb, Fat, Protein. That really helps me visualize how I'm tracking my balance (or lack thereof). If they're itching to add features, my wish list includes having a way to participate in community posts and/or blogs…

saving for future - yummy!

What a great movie - chock full of hilarious lines. Must see over and over and over.

Let's all show up and sit on him. Then punch him in the knee caps and sit on him again.

I am a tidge OCD, but I use my powers for evil. If I'm walking by a wall of pictures/framed things, I have to tip one or two so they're crooked. I know it's gonna drive SOMEone crazy. If I'm at my Moms, I always move at least one thing before I leave. She's VERY OCD and has to have everything in just the right spot, so I…

I don't think so ... you eat the Calories Remaining. If you only ate 400, your net would be 900 ... 300 short of your goal of 1200. If you eat the full 700, your net is 1200, exactly at your goal, which will get you towards the setting you chose on MFP (1 lb a week, 1.5 lb/week) As some have said, if you choose a number…

*steals and eats the cookie. There. Problem solved!

When I started out, it took me 6 months to lose the first 30 lbs. That was pretty much adding 2 workout sessions a week and little change to my food. Once I ramped up exercise to 4-5x a week and keeping my calories tracked and under (setting 1.5 / week), it started coming off faster. If you're trying to estimate when you…

Stay away from the PopTarts Invest in ___ (whatever is the latest and greatest)

I see several red flags in your posts - I highly recommend couples' counseling. If he doesn't see a problem, or thinks you're the one with "the problem" for being upset about it, then you have a very big decision to make.

Congratulations on jumping on the "health train"! I was at a similar starting weight when I joined in July 2011. It's a wonderful feeling when clothes start to get baggy and you feel so much more energy! When I started, I was working with a trainer and we didn't even do any weight checks for the first few months - she said…

A year ago, I ate 2 PopTarts (choc fudge) every morning for breakfast. Then I switched to healthier foods... 6 months later I tried eating PopTarts again and couldn't finish it. Just too daggone sweet for me any more. *sniffle. I miss my PoppyTarts :'( but not the sugar crash midmorning!
