  • Finished 30 day shred today, YEAH. I am going to do Level 1, 2 and 3 once each this week then take final measurements this weekend. Hoping to post some good news for everyone. Think I'll start Ripped in 30 next, gotta stay on task.
  • Tonight will be day 8, Level 3. I feel that I was doing so well on Level 2, I was doing the advanced moves. Not so much on Level 3. I start out each set in Level 3 by trying to do the advanced moves but I quickly have to go back to beginners moves. I'm not sure whether I should move on after Day 10 of Level 3 or if I…
  • I've found Jillian Michael's 30 day shred is working for me. I am 25 days into the 30 day shred and so far I've lost about 4.5 LBs and I've lost 2" in my chest, 1" in my upper arm, 2" in my waist and 1/2" in my hips so far. The inches are coming off. There is a 30 Day Shred group on here, go look at some before and afters,…
  • WOW, WOW, WOW. The before and after photos look like you and your older sister, you look so much younger now. Your skin is glowing. What an inspiration you are. So glad you shared these
  • Thank you. I took before pictures and will post them with after pictures. The LBS aren't sliding off so much but the inches are, so it keeps me motivated. Plus I can tell I am so much stronger now.
  • I'm on Day 3 of Level 3, and I'm having a tough time. I start off trying to follow Natalie, the advanced moves and I do what I can there (usally two or three reps) then I have to take it down a notch and follow Anita (for beginners). I do this on all of the sets, I start off as strong as I can and push until my arms or…
  • I've never added yogurt, always just added nutmeg to it. I'm glad you posted this because even though I knew about this and made it all the time, I had never tried these other versions that folks are talking about. I'm definelty going to try adding cocoa or cocoa nibs. YUMMY
  • I boil a couple eggs at the beginning of the week for "pack n go" days. To add to that, 100 calorie Chobani bites yogurts are great. Both are high in protein for after your work out. Another of my fabvorites are (2) Morning Star veggie breakfast patties with (1) Van's protein waffle with jam or peanut butter and honey.
  • I like Zoes Kitchen, we have a few in Houston. My favorite dish is the power protein plate at only 510 calories. Grilled chicken with caramelized onions on top and their slaw made with vinaigrette (not mayo) and feta cheese underneath. Absolutely delicious and I'm not usually a fan of slaw that isn't sweet and creamy like…
  • I couldn't and still can't complete all of the moves without a 5 second break (during cardio) and I'm on day 9 of level 2. I was glad to make the change because I was losing interest in doing the same thing. And I found out that even though I thought I could only do the granny push-ups I was able to do the walk-out push…
  • uber jealous of you, I love Austin
  • I went to the website and they offered the meal plan for $4 a week, I'm not buying that. I kept searching the web and finally found the meal plan and recipes for free. Basically, its 1200 - 1300 calories a day. I tried the cod, and it was bland and terrible, wouldn't suggest that one, but the turkey sausage link and yam…
  • I completed Day 8 of Level 2, and barely finished because I was feeling so exhausted. My heart wasn't in it. I am pretty sure I need a night of rest tonight. I'll come back kicking harder Thursday night. I am losing inches.
  • I joined the group that you have linked in the above link. Thanks.
  • Finished Day 8, Level 2 last night and It was really difficult to complete. Difficult because I'm just exhausted, I am taking tonight off so that my body can rest. 7 days a week are too much for me, but thats just me.
  • I graduated from Magnolia High School (a few years back, ha ha )
  • Love your tattoo, and BTW: WOW, you look incredible.
  • I have one, in a very inconspicous place, can't show it on here. I want one of the small of my back. I have a scar from L4 back surgery and want to mask that. Any of you ladies have the small of your back done? How bad will that hurt? My first one was terribly painful.
  • Houstonian here, anyone feel free to add me. I have too many temptations to add here, but Chips and Salsa are definetly hard to avoid in Texas. They are served at breakfast, lunch and dinner and I could eat them just as many times.
  • Thank you, it makes sense to me
  • Thank you. I was considering adding a strength workout , but since I do 30DS everyday and am so new to this I wasn't sure if I could do weight lifting in conjunction with 30DS. And if so, which ones to avoid that would or would not fatigue my muscles. I'm extremely new to this so I appreciate your input.
  • So glad you asked the question, I too have the same issue and needed these suggestions.
  • As a fellow member of the not-so-fit group and unable to do a real push-up, I would like to suggest Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Yes, she has push-ups in the workouts but you can modify them with wall push-ups then graduate to granny push-ups. with By level 2 or 3 you will probably be doing your first real push-up, like…
  • I was one of the 1200 or less calorie deficit eaters, its the only way i knew how to diet. Then I met some folks on here that were very non-judgemental yet helpful and they encouraged me to slowly increase to 1400 then to 1600 calories along with working out. I started doing 30 day shred and increased my calorie intake. I…
  • I like medjool dates with a walnut in the middle, it's like candy to me when I'm craving sugar.
  • I'm seeing results already and I'm only doing 30DS, no other exercise with it. I'm not on a specific "clean eating" diet but I am eating no processed foods, no white sugar (only agave once in a while), whole wheat, lots of fruit and veggies and mostly lean protein.
  • thats my same plan, finish 30DS and then go to Ripped in 30 (I accidentally bought that DVD so it's an obvious transition for me). I thought about weighing my food and I have a silly question. Where do you find a food scale and how much do they cost?
  • Me too, I'm seeing the changes, literally, I can see my midriff again. Its keeping me motivated.
  • Day 3, level 2 done. I'm shaking like a leaf again, I stay nauseous for about an hour after the workout. I did gain about 5 pounds in the first week (I increased my calorie intake to accommodate my bar/tdee) but I've lost it all plus 2 inches off my waist and 1/2 inch off my hips and I'm only on day 13 of working out. I…
  • I had the same issue at my workplace, junk food around all the time. I kept (and continue) telling myself "no food tastes as good as skinny feels". After being off of white sugar and processed foods for a month now I don't even crave the junk food. It will come in time for you too, and in the meantime you can keep your own…
