I'm surprised at the people who hate on the ones who carry guns/knives or what ever with them. When you're getting raped in a corner of an alley or woods you would probably wish you had a knife or gun with you. Be scared of that, not those who choose to defend themselves.

I carry a type of knife with me that fits in my fist, and the blade is kind of in the shape of an arrow and very, VERY sharp. It hooks to the top of my pants or what ever else and I can grab it quickly. Although, my boyfriend wants me to carry a frikkin taser brass knuckles type thing.

Like you, I've pretty much stopped buying junk from the store, and I keep fruit and nuts around for snacks instead. Also, I've all but stopped my habit of boredom eating... I would say that has really improved my diet :D...

6 inch veggie on flatbread, no cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, lots of banana peppers, onions, pepper, and lots of vinegar. Sooo good... Prolly around 300 cals.

Why don't you just eat and make your meals at home. A treat to panera or subway is okay every now and then, but there is no way to tell if what you're eating really has the calories you think it does in it. Well, I have a problem eating a lot of pasta and breads too. What I do is just limit like... one carb per meal. Like a peice of toast with breakfast, sandwich for lunch (thin bread, or a topless sandwich), and usually no carbs for dinner, or I might have pasta every now and then. Just eat carbs in moderation.
