Core Syn this morning... I'll be honest, I feel like I was dogging it a little. I totally wimped out on the chatarunga exercises... I can definitely tell I'm lacking core and upper body strength. I really liked the workout, so I'm looking forward to improving to the point of actually doing all the moves. Yesterday's eating…

Start of recovery week for me. Yoga this morning... I did the first 55 min. I woke up a little late, and husband/babies messed with my chi. I'm looking forward to trying Core Synergistics tomorrow for the first time. This week, I'm really going to focus on my eating as well. I know I've been slacking, and I'm sure that's…

I feel the same way. I think doing it that way would be fine. I don't have the desire to wake up and extra half hour early for Yoga, so I swapped Yoga and Kenpo (putting yoga on Sat, and Kenpo on Thurs), that also keeps me alternating cardio and weight routines. If Legs/Back takes extra long for you, and it should be fine…

I'm feeling it more this week than before too. Not so sore, but more worn out. I'm looking forward to recovery week next week! Other than that, nothing too exciting here. I did Legs/Back/ARX this morning. Yoga is tomorrow, but I'm supposed to work in the morning... do I get up super early, or try to force myself to do it…

Yay!! I'm glad you're sticking with Ab Ripper! You will be able to monitor your progress with it, and really see yourself improve.

We're lucky enough that my parents have a farm, and let us plant our veggies there. In pots, some items might be tough because the roots don't have room to spread out. You probably want to get the largest pots you can find. Sometimes there are even ones specifically for herb gardens. Herbs you can definitely do. Tomatos…

Today I swapped Yoga for Kenpo. Good workout, but I didn't get as good of a calorie burn as I see with a lot of other workouts (only 360 calories this morning). Maybe I wasn't pushing hard enough? Question for everyone... What are some good snacks? I'm trying to go a little higher protein, lower carb. I currently do string…

About an 75 minutes on weight days (target area plus abs), cardio is about an hour, and yoga runs 90 minutes. The classic schedule is weight, cardio, weight, yoga, weight, cardio, rest.

Arms/Back/ARX is done for the day! Today is an all-day potluck at work. I know my eating won't be terrific today. I'm going to treat myself a little, but try not to go overboard. Wish me luck!

Nice! I'm anxious to see what kind of results I have after my 30 days. If it's like yours, I'll be thrilled! I'd love to continue and do more rounds too. I'm reserving making that decision until I've at least tried all the workouts, and see what kind of results I get.

I started taking mine at night, and no longer get the "fish burps."

Phase 1, Week 3, Day 2 - Plyo! I think this is my favorite video so far. It really seems to pump me up for the day. @repobob: Good luck on the road. I travel once or twice a year for work, and just can't seem to get any kind of consistent workout done. Keep us posted on how it goes.

I probably wouldn't put 2 weight days next to each other, or do Ab Ripper X 2 days in a row. Otherwise, I think it's fine to make it work for you. I agree that Yoga X is really long, so I have that on Saturday as well, and am doing Saturday's workout (Kenpo X) on Thursday.

Go for it!! Take breaks if you need them. That's what I did the first few times. And, I couldn't do the"bonus" Mason Twists at the end, so I stopped a little early. Same as the other workouts - if you push hard, you'll notice yourself getting stronger and making it further each time. Have fun!! @knittnponder: Awesome work…

Sorry I went MIA for the weekend, but it's so much easier for me to check in during work. I woke up a little late this morning, and wasn't sure if I could fit my whole workout in (Chest/Back/ARX). Instead of hitting snooze, I got up and did it. I feel so great after these workouts, that I actually want to get up and bring…

I love that feeling! I'm starting to feel my triceps a little... I'm sure people wonder what I'm doing if they walk past my desk and see me flexing and feeling my arms :noway: It really motivates me to see even a little progress. I bought a pair of pants last week that were just a little tight in the waist. Today I slipped…

Couldn't force myself to get up to do Yoga this morning. I think I'll just skip it this week and take the extra rest day, and continue with Legs tomorrow. I think next week I'll swap Kenpo and Yoga. That way I can do the long Yoga workout on Saturday, when I actually have time. And I can keep my morning schedule steady…

I found it! Thanks to lizard9800 for noting on the auto-continued thread that there was a new one. Otherwise, I probably would have gone there. Arms/Shoulders/ARX today rocked. I actually made it through the bonus round for the first time (ran out of time last week), so I heard the "Wow upside down is Mom" thing - love…

I love my George Foreman grill for cooking all kinds of meat. Works like a dream for frozen chicken breasts. I always cut into mine in the thickest spot to check if it's still pink.

Don't give up, Emma! I have a friend that couldn't even do pushups on her knees at first... had to stand next to the wall and push against that instead. She eventually went on to do at least 2 rounds of P90X and Insanity (she even noted in her blog that she worked up to doing 100 pushups on her toes during Chest and Back…

My legs are still a little sore from Legs/Back on Saturday, so I really had to push myself to make it through Plyo this morning. It felt so good when I was done, so I'm glad I did.

Well, I totally missed my Legs and Back workout Friday, but did it Saturday, then Kenpo on Sunday. I guess I needed my rest day a little early this week. Today was Chest and Back. I actually found it harder than the first week, but really pushed myself. @edorice: Dive bombers killed me today! Those and Diamond…

I use Jillian Michael's protein powder. It's sweetened with stevia. It comes in chocolate and vanilla, and both taste great.

Me too. I think I made it 10 minutes (thinking I had done 30) and checked the timer... Are you kidding me ?!?! How old is your kid? My almost-3-year-old likes to pat my tummy while I'm trying to do ab exercises... not fun, especially when 1year old brother decides to help too. I also had to give up kettlebells because I…

They once tried making Chuck Norris toilet paper, but had to abandon the project... because it wouldn't take *kitten* from anyone.

Yoga X is history for today. I actually made myself get up at 4:30am to do it. Unfortunately both boys woke up then as well, but were content watching cartoons in the other room. I made it through, and can definitely see the benefit in it. However, 90 minutes was a long time, and I didn't really enjoy it. Anyone out there…

"I've been working so hard, why am I not losing?? I must be at a plateau." Reality: I just ate a burger and fries for supper, and a whole bag of jelly beans in 2 days. I'm obviously not trying THAT hard.

Thanks for this!! I'm a mom of 2, both c-sections, and have been curious if it'd be possible to get into a bikini this summer. I know it's more difficult for us c-section moms to get rid of the "pooch." I've done the 30 Day Shred inconsistently, and just made the jump to P90X this week. Thanks for the info and photo,…

I read this article today, and it convinced me that doing P90X is the right thing for me: http://thyroid.about.com/od/loseweightsuccessfully/ss/dietsecrets.htm I had my thyroid removed about 5 months ago, and am having trouble regulating my medication afterwards, so I'm basically still hypothyroid. My energy and metabolism…

Today was Shoulders/Arms, and I actually really enjoyed it. I didn't get to do the "bonus" part, and only got about 1/2 done with ARX because of kids/dog this morning. My husband is travelling for work, so I get the extra chores, and he's not there to help when the boys need something. Made it a little harder, but I did my…
