Day 2 Plyo done! I'm a little sore again from Day 1, but not near as bad as the first time I did it. I should be able to continue to day 3. I really want to see this through, and have rewards set up for myself as I go.

I had my thyroid completely removed about 5 months ago. I'm still working on regulating my medication, so I'm still acting like I'm hypothyroid. Basically, I'm still low on energy, making working out really difficult (but hopefully I'm getting back on track), and my weight loss has been completely stalled since the…

I restarted today, and have Day 1 under my belt. I didn't push as hard as last time, so hopefully I won't be as sore, and can actually complete a whole week.

I've watched this thread occasionally when it pops up in the recent list. I think there's a lot of good advice here, and want to follow it a little more regularly. Steve, if you don't mind, I'd like to send you a message for some more personalized advice.

Talk about delayed onset muscle soreness! I could hardly move yesterday afternoon from all the pullup and pushups on day 1. I managed to do Plyo yesterday, but failed to do my workout this morning. Hopefully my muscles will relax enough that I can get it done tonight when the kids are in bed (might need some Advil to help…

This sounds great! I might have to make these this weekend. Do they taste good, or are they an acquired taste?

I did get up and do Day 1 this morning. I'm really hoping to stick with this program and see some results. I know it works because I have a few friends that look amazing after completing it. To others out there that have done this before - How long did it take before you started seeing pounds/inches lost? How much weight…

I wish I'd seen this yesterday! I'm planning on starting tonight after I put my babies in bed. I'm hoping that having a group to be accountable to will keep me going. Hopefully, I'll check in again in the morning to let you know how day 1 went.

This is something I posted on another thread a while back. The 30 Day Shred DVD really is great. It's only 25 minutes, but still difficult enough to challenge you. The ab work is only 1 minute at a time, so you can focus on it and carefully build up those muscles.

This was my response to a different thread a while back. The original topic was specific to moms that had c-sections, but will work for anyone.

I've been loving veggie steamer bags (Green Giant has a bunch of varieties so you don't get bored). 100-150 calories for a whole plate full of seasoned veggies.

I'm the same. I have trouble portion controlling my ice cream. If I open a gallon bucket, I'm guaranteed to take at least 1 1/2 - 2 cups out. Instead, I buy the little cups (usually $1 each), and just have that. I get Edy's... didn't care for the taste of the Skinny Cow, and they have artificial sweeteners where Edy's…

First I'm going to repeat it with higher weights. Right now I do everything with 5lbs., and I'm only slightly sore the next day (still on my first week). When I get done, I'd like to try it with 10lbs. or alternate 5 and 10, depending on the exercises. When I feel like I can handle more of a time commitment, I'm going to…

I've had 2 c-sections. After my first, I actually got down to a good size, where I was comfortable in a swimsuit, and the tummy was pretty much gone (about 19% body fat). I'm having a much harder time after my second. I still have 10-12 lbs to lose before I'm at the same weight, and about 5% body fat to lose to be the same…

Check out this calorie calculator: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm If you click on the advanced options, there's a spot to change the formula to account for body fat %. Hopefully this helps you decide if you need more. I'm also working on my pooch. After 2 c-sections, it's tough. I almost had it…

I hate to say it, but time or a tummy-tuck are the only way. Cardio will help lose fat, but you can't spot reduce to target just the fat on your tummy. Ab exercises/weight training will help too, but you have to lose the flab over the muscle to see the results. I've had 2 c-sections, and between them, I actually saw a…

What if you split the difference? Run just a little less (so you burn fewer calories, but are still getting a decent workout), and eat a little more (so you don't have to make up 500+ calories, and it's easy to make up the rest with some items that are a little more calorie-dense, like avocado, peanut butter, nuts, etc.).…

Really good info! I agree that so many people focus losing weight, when the really important thing is being healthy! Keep doing what you're doing :flowerforyou:

I work outside the home, so I try to stay home with my boys (2 1/2 and 10 months) as much as possible once work's done. But as soon as I start to work out, they need something, wake up from a nap, or just get under your feet while you're doing your thing. My favorite is when my 10 month old sees me get on the floor to do…

If you don't have a heart rate monitor, I would suggest tracking it as circuit training. For me, the calories came pretty close that way. I love this workout plan, and saw great results with it. Good luck!

I got Just Dance 2 for Christmas, and it's a great workout!

I've had my BF% tested in a BodPod. I thought it was a pretty neat experience. It is supposed to be significantly more accurate than the bio-impedance scales, especially home versions. It also takes the human element (potential error) out of caliper measurements. I definitely recommend it, if you have one nearby. We have…

I've done it twice now. Both times, I did not lose a single pound, but I lost numerous inches. The first time, I lost 3 inches off my waist in the first 2 weeks (quit the program at that time because I found out I was pregnant). The second time, I lost about the same. I could tell an amazing difference in my strength. I…

I place a lot more stock in body fat percentage, rather than BMI. I'm 5'4", and when I was in my early 20's, I was a little over 150, but pretty muscular, and looked good in my bikini. Now that I'm 29 and have had 2 c-sections, I know the belly fat is hanging on harder. At my current 140 pounds, I still have room for…

In the US, Jelly is jam (fruit preserves); gelatin or Jello = jelly Eggnog is a drink made of heavy cream, eggs, sugar, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. I love US/UK lingo... it's all English, but it's so different

This is such a great attitude to have!! I love this!

I'm 29 years old, 140lbs, 5'4", and size 4-6. If you're a bargain shopper, I love Old Navy or good ol' Target. If you're looking for a more professional look, I    The Limited. Banana Republic is awesome too, but usually more than I like to spend. Hope this helps, and I am looking forward to seeing…

What a great feeling! Congrats! I glanced at your profile and noticed that we have the same goal weight. As I get closer, I find it harder to to stick to my plan. Keep it up, and you'll be needing those gift cards in no time!

I'm a big fan of the Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, especially the Unsweetened Vanilla flavor. I love it in my coffee in the morning, and whenever I have protein shakes. Try it on breakfast cereal, or almost anywhere you use regular milk. I've never been an oatmeal eater, but I might have to try it with almond milk. Thanks…

I found that a combo of strength and cardio training did wonders for my tummy and loose skin. Stay hydrated, both by drinking plenty of water, and by moisturizing your skin (just basic lotion, no miracle cream needed). Also, I believe I read somewhere that after quick weight loss (I think giving birth would qualify), it…
