Welcome! Feel free to add me! I absolutely adore carbs too so know what you mean! Bizarrely carrot and swede mash has been a bit of a life saver lately!

Is that for a week or a month?! That is a lot of cheese.
-
That's fantastic, well done!

I always wonder and try not to eat them back because you aren't ever sure. I was looking at getting a HRM though; they're meant to be a lot more accurate.

Welcome! Feel free to add me, I log in every day and have definitely found having friends on this site has helped.

Done :)

We could give out numbers to wait in line! At this rate I can talk to that woman I was chatting to earlier in the queue for the bus in maybe 3 years?!

Hey! I live in the UK, so feel free to add me if you need some motivation or advice while you're over here and hope you enjoy your stay! Lottie

I watched a documentary not that long ago that said that a decent level of low fat dairy, and therefore calcium actually stops you absorbing so much fat so I would have thought it was a good thing providing you don't go too far over.

You can add me if you like. I'm on every day. Having people to encourage each other has definitely helped! :)

There are friend limits?! I would love to try that in awkward social situations! 'Ah no, really I think you're great and I bet you do dance well but I just met those five people over there so I can't be friends with you until at least tomorrow'!

I LOVE belly dancing! It's great - definitely worth doing! :)

I'm 23 but feel free to add me if you need some support! I love my mates, but they are all lucky skinnies, so I've found it SO lovely to have people to talk to who understand! :) Lottie

I normally cook rice with a stock cube, either vegetable or chicken. Rice is also good with baked beans (I know that might sound odd) or a bit of skimmed milk and low fat cheese is nice :)

Hi Hannah! I'm Lottie - also from England and trying to lose weight for my lovely friend's wedding next year! :)

Oooh I looooove cottage cheese too and have to admit I eat it with most meals! Found it a great replacement for mayo on home made potato wedges, have it on salad. It goes really well with mango and paprika! :)

Welcome and good luck :) Cycling is fab! I hope you find MFP useful. Lottie

It probably won't last forever. My partner was a vegetarian from the age of 3 and became a vegan later on but I think most of my friends had a similar idea at some point while they were growing up. I would let her go ahead and try it so see if it sticks. She'll probably out grow it but if you it's not impossible to live…

Wow! What amazing progress - well done!

My partner is a vegan and I am a huge meat eater and a coeliac so between us it is a little of a chore. I have a great cook book that has some recipes in it that we can both eat and you can get vegan cheese and soya milk to cut down on doubling up on products but I must admit it would never be the diet for me! Vegans have…

Good luck with your goals! I'm sure you can do it!

I've got a minimum of 70lbs to lose and definitely could do with some support from people in the same position!

I've always found it hard to fit the gym in because I work such long hours but you can fit exercise into your everyday activities. Last time I lost a good amount of weight, I ensured I walked as much as I could. Took the stairs instead of the lifts and wore weights on my ankles etc to help. I have quite a few fitness DVDs…

Thanks guys! I'm sure this is the kick I need!

I always feel seriously ick around that time, so I tend to opt for walking at a fast pace somewhere nice, like the local park or the beach. If you prefer going to the gym, maybe exercise bikes and rowing machines would be a good compromise?
