I used to love the bar scene in college, now I pretty much despise it. Do you go to church? That's a great way. Other than that I would say maybe volunteering, the internet, work? I think a bar is a terrible place to meet a person, they are just looking to get laid :)

I wouldn't say ditch it like the above poster, some people like to keep track of their workouts and calories...but anyway, make sure it is tight. When it does that, stop the activity and restart it. And if all else fails, contact polar and tell them the issue!!

It may not be starvation mode (a term that is thrown around) but it is still eating too little. Obviously your body is gaining for a reason. Eat more and fill it with healthy foods.

I had this same question a couple months ago. I went and got an HRM and for me, I walk/jog a 12 minute mile. I am 5'3 and 134 pounds and for a 30 min walk/jog i burn 250 to 300 calories. This is pushing a 30 pound child in a 20 lb jogging stroller. I'd definitely invest in a HRM bc before that i was logging it as walking…

My father had his last radiation treatment today for his throat cancer!! He should be cancer free and able to stick around to see his grandkids grow up. AND he has been cigarette free since July 12th!! 2 months today :)

I am so glad you asked this. Mine starts preschool in a couple weeks and is a very picky eater. I'm always looking for healthy foods for him to eat or at least try. He always wants chicken nuggets and nutri grain bars. I love all the ideas so far!!! Thanks so muc

Love their almond butter and trail mix. Their greek yogurt is good. I love their produce and nuts. Great breakfast bars and an awesome frozen food section. Their chili lime chicken burgers and soycutash are 2 of my favorite frozen items!!

Yes get the chest strap, it continuously keeps track of your heart rate therefore giving you a pretty accurate calorie burn. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg, but don't go the super cheap route or you are more likely to get one that doesn't give an accurate reading, and you'll end up wanting to purchase a new one.…

Of course you can gain weight after the surgery. It isn't a cure all or a quick fix. You still have to limit your food intake and have a healthier relationship with food. Please don't think you just need to lose 40 lbs so you can get the surgery and then you are done.

A lot more coffee with creamer. A lot more processed food. And i was a grazer. If anyone would bring a snack into the office (cupcakes, cookies, candy) i NEVER said no. And a ton more pasta. That's a big one for me, I ate pasta, white potatoes, and white bread like it was going out of style :)

Bump yummy....want to try that one with ramen noodles, but I know ramen noodles aren't good for you. Maybe substitute?
